SC is going to provide finance for production by the help of their customers in ....
SC is looking at kod as a company not a project. this means finance will be loans for future deliveries.
this means deliveries to those companies took part in finance through SC. wherever they are.
SC is a supply of lithium.
the question is who is going to bear the cost of deliveries from code d'evoir port to the destination?
Is it SC or is it kod or negotiated? As kod prefer Europe and SC will be forced by contract to deliver
to China.
SC has 25% of kod and they would like to see it stay that way. This is a restriction on BA next cr.
can SC provide an alternative to bridge the gap between now and production. That is 3m at least.
for now raising cash in open market will only weaken sp and raise concerns. if it is possible at all.
kod still has £250,000.00 and cash burn is very slow indicate only one direction. an alternative
solution is in the pipeline. the other alternatives could be.
1) a loan probably form SC. improve confidence in future partners.
2) selling gold assets. This strengthen kod position and stabilize sp.
3) waiting for positive news such as ML and final OTA that contains detailed cash contributions and
delivery dates and the cost structure that defines limits between kod and SC obligation. This will be
the best option. as sp is not likely to retrace after But there is contradiction here, as supplying
£117 m for plant and failing to supply 3m for going concern does not stack up.
4) cash raise in open market is not possible at the moment, we have seen how small and difficult the
contribution was to the last cash raise although it was tiny compared with what is needed.

when BA asked about fund raising he said: not soon, not today. When forced to provide an answer he said 'soon'.
not soon; was direct and revealing 'this is the correct answer', the 'not today' was a cover for a slip.
'soon'; This is just to tell you I am not going to answer this question as he gave the logically expected move. There is some thing BA is hiding given the fact that no one wants this move at this sp level.
1) could be gold sales.
2) could be spending cash slowly till they settle the OTA and finance with SC.

BA has the right to show he has other alternatives. He's done very well on keeping some contingency cash to meet possible ml delays. it should last us long to sign OTA and finances. This is my hope. it is the best action for kod to be successful with SC.

brine producers = 86% world production, unable to expand and not fit for battery grade. The rest will straggle to meet demand. SC is very keen on securing the supplies from kod. very good indeed.

what you are thinking of may be the opposite as well. This year has seen a lot of trouble; Trump commercial wars, corona virus...but the weather is doing already its damage on many aspects of our-life. EV will soon boom. besides SC don't need to pay forward prices for the whole amount. they may need to negotiate every 6 months or 12 months contracts. It is flexible as long as the contract is there. They have to sign the contract to insure supply at the right price.

one of the problems suppliers and consumers of lithium are facing is the fact that the market is not mature yet. there are not options or derivatives or spot and future prices. so that is the need for TOA is is an insurance to both parties to hedge the gap between prices today and next year...

no one know how match they will need, but they will try to match debt payment with supply over a number of years.

The OTA is a knife with two edges. It keeps competitors out because they can't have the final product. but it keep SC in as they can't afford to loose it and get the final deal rejected. KOD without OTA could easily have an alternative backer. so it is a commitment on both sides. It is important for kod to set the conditions very clear regarding financing the plant in the final OTA. May be the advanced payments for 1.7 years will cover the 120 m needed for the plan and going concern.
Otherwise if Kod sign the final OTA without alluding to finance it will a trap for kod as they may fail to provide finance in time and fail to deliver goods in time.
