@Devil Sadly Rincon is on slow burn ATM, but hopeful of better results from deep drilling at Hasties. Rincon is a £microcap with fairly thin trading so moves on next to nothing. I was very happy with what I picked up directly from ASX and it won't take much positive news to send it flying again

@Bonker Still sat on my hands until POG decides what its next move is going to be BUT it feels like the last hurrah trying to flush out those selling cheap and HUM is no different.

I'm just focused on Kouroussa and Dugbe ... Yanfolila will come back onstream soon enough

@causal Is it inflation or deflation ... recession or recovery ... hard hats or part wear? Confused, commodities are trying to tell us something but the message is variable to say the least. CCZ Lithium will be VERY interesting to watch especially if they can demonstrate resource continuity onto optioned project property.

It is not a good feeling being into Gold or Copper at the moment with all my holdings hit hard

@SM Gold usually sells off initially as punters need 'cash' to meet margin calls et al so Gold usually raided first as liquidity is usually so good. I suspect once things have calmed then we may get some additional rotation back into Gold.

I'm just unnerved by possible POG Head and Shoulders forming 12-Oct +3-Nov and 30-Nov so far .... who knows, but agree with your "fasten seatbelts" comment !

Looks like POG has had its pants pulled down again and broken below $1,782

@MP It is worth repeating that at this price HUM can be considered an Explorer/Developer with HUGE growth potential and a working mine to fund it... both Dugne and Kouroussa have been effectively discounted to zero now that Yanfolila has a 7-year LOM with 68km (yes km!) worth of 2021 drilling results yet to be factored into Yanfolila and Kouroussa JORCs and LOM.
HUM has an effective free carry on Dugbe to DFS which is expected mid 2022

Who cares about the spelling ... I'd much rather have a meaningful debate on wider market, gold, banks et al than take part in a Spelling Bee.

For once I find myself agreeing with the BoD. As I have been saying for months Big One is not economic as a standalone open pit nor will it support the CAPEX to build a Cu processing facility so the strategic approach becomes very, very straightforward:
(1) Explore somewhere else OR ...
(2) Explore & Development several smaller deposits
> use nearby 3rd party ore processor = quick, flexible and gets revenue in with minimal CAPEX
> aggregate ore output from several smaller ore bodies = combined JORC becomes economic
> Flexible and scalable = mix and match ore grades to suit processor ROM to max profitability
> Robust = mine plan across several deposits de-risks if issue at one deposit occurs

I like it as CCZ cab drive quick revenue stream to fund future exploration with very low CAPEX especially as Big One is shallow and increasingly well understood. IF the nearby target is also viable then this scales up very quickly.
... but Aussie investors have been disabused of imminent "bonanza" scenario & don't like it !

My understanding is that simply under BASEL 3 rules banks can now hold physical fully allocated Gold valued at 100% of metals value as part of their capital holdings for first time ... dare I say 'cash' equivalent anyone!

I suspect that is why POG is being kept low so that banks can full this requirement before the Jan-22 deadline. Note this now needs to be physical not 'paper' gold and everything that I am reading suggests physical gold is hard to acquire whilst paper gold is being shorted so that physical gold requirements can be filled at sensible prices.

I suspect that come Jan-22 when the BASEL3 buying has been completed that banks will not mind if POG goes up as it then helps their capital position.

Regardless of what happens short term AAZ are sitting on another 300kt copper identified at their new deposit which for a Junior producer makes it a growth play with the current production funding any new mine expansion avoiding shareholder dilution.

Just revisiting my weekly POG chart we now have a good strong uptrend support with 4 touchpoints from Aug-20 low and clear rejections in each case and and uptrend channel top forming a pennant. As of today pennant channel top at $1,880 and channel bottom at $1,782 with Aug-20 downtrend sat at $1,824 ... this being the PX to beat as I see it

Nice to see POG do a pirouette around $1,782 uptrend support line ... let's just hope it can sustain this
Time perhaps for another major breakout attempt from the Aug-20 downtrend now at $1,830.

I strongly suspect we will see POG at an 'interim' $2,700 within the next 6 months as the Feds fine words remain just that going into the US mid-terms assuming something does not blow up before that.

@Bonker I suppose we only need to look back post WW2 and the exact same playbook approach taken then to bring 120%+ debt/GDP levels back below 80% via financial repression and high inflation. No reason to suppose that this will be any different despite whatever rhetoric is deployed by the main CBs to convince us otherwise to keep their borrowing costs containable and the bond market 'orderly'.

A persistent 14% inflation would imply a 50% devaluation of fiat currency buying power over just 5 years !

@bonker That is a truly scary number, if Spain is seeing 31.9% PPI then the UK & other European nations cannot be far behind.

The only 'saving grace' is it takes time for PPI to feed through into consumer prices, but however you dress it up the indications are that there is more and higher real inflation already in the pipeline that the Fed, BoE and ECB can only dismiss for so long.
