Between us we may have various disagreements about the running of this company, but I'm sure we can all agree on one thing... this platform, for investors, is the biggest pile of crap in existence. For years and years they fail to upgrade their servers, and pretend they are players. Pathetic!

To be honest it matters very little how they bought the stock; the fact is they did and in solidly supporting the EO they showed a good deal of faith in their company's future. TG alone will now hold somewhere in the region of 34.5m shares or 6.5%, and the board as a whole around 9% - very happy with that.

In the 16th July EO closes RNS there is a table that shows the total holding of the directors once excess requests were fulfilled. I'm pretty sure these figures match the subsequent declared holdings + spouses in the two RNSs on the ASX today. Were these not the excess allocation shares that had to be voted on at the GM? I surprised there hasn't been one from TG yet. They have yet to update the website.

Are these not just the declarations of their entitlement offer shares, excess shares + spouse holdings. I don't think they are open market purchases

I think currently a 50MW utility level project would be a bit rich for us. They have been talking about this for some time and as ever there have been delays and cancellations. Read this a while ago - again a deadline has passed.

Also recently there was this on a proposed 5GW joint project with Namibia. DNI/GHI solar levels in SW Botswana are some of the best in the world, but they should probably learn to walk before they run.

I don't think he's saying that but it's not totally clear either - though agreed he does need to do more reading. I believe he's saying we should just pipe the gas to a coal fired power station and convert said power station to gas because it would be cheaper. Maybe their feasibility study doesn't agree with Tlou's. Our current plan for Lesedi was considered optimum, though even in yesterdays update it did mention that a pipeline to Orapa from Mamba may be a possibility as it's much closer.

Winni you and I have very similar thinking here. I also think TG is a quality CEO, honest and up front - there is a clarity to the announcements that probably many AIM punters don't like. The majority of Twitter folk are easily influenced and seem to buy into the James Parsons type of hyperbole.
What we have here is definitely a hare and tortoise situation and those who are willing to see the underlying graft, progress and commitment from the company will back the tortoise and will certainly be rewarded imo.

Brad you seem to talk about Solar PV as though it's some crackpot idea - a nascent untried technology that nobody has previously considered nor overcome all the issues you mention. South Africa's proximity is relevant here and it has been embracing solar , mostly in the Northern Cape, for some time and continues to expand capacity. They even have a 75MW PV farm at Kimberly called Lesedi!

The installation cost of commercial PV has dropped dramatically in recent years, and it is increasingly commonplace. A hybrid operation is perfect for our situation, and as stated previously the company has done the due diligence and feasibility work . The CBM negates the need for expensive storage batteries and the solar will extend the life of the CBM, as well as enhance the environmental credentials of the project - something that is becoming increasingly important in Africa.

BTS - you're probably right but I have to say I've seen very little ramping on social media or here. The rise has been characterized by, with a few exceptions, small punts since TGs last interview. I know that there are plenty of Aim punters that follow trends (noise), and have very little interest in the actual company before they put their bet on. However, despite the obvious delays we've experienced, we are moving inexorably, if glacierly, towards the end game.
This first stage finance is crucial, as I believe it will be the keystone to the company achieving what it set to do and for the shareholders to realise their investments. That said I suspect initially raising this $10m (half our MC) may be a little ugly, but beyond that it will be much easier. Atb

Quite - and a reasonable fundraise for the right reasons imo. Financing two projects out of revenue alone looked unappealing, and paying off one debt burden only to be incumbered with more didn't seem logical either. However going into the New Year debt free, fully financed to develop two projects, hedge gone and flush with cash should look very appealing to investors. A bit of short term pain for long term gain will prove to be the right decision both for company growth and shareholder's investments in my opinion. GLA

When they announced the interim PPA we were at a 52 week low. SP rose to nearly 5p, then CV-19, and a steady decline until the recent rise that seems a lot but historically not really. Doesn't seem to be anywhere near enough volume to think there's a leak and more likely it's just a more positive outlook stemming from TGs last interview.

Very strange trading today. Opened at 2.94, small trades outside range. All day traded Ok with buys in the 3.3s and sells sub 3.2s. Closed again small 2.94 trade outside the range. Volume again insignificant but seemed very odd to me

The BoD were issued their excess applications and options today, adding around 12m shares - 525m total issue. TG holds approx 6.5% now and BoD as a whole around 9%. Always good to see commitment to the cause

ASX closed at 5.7c - 23% rise. Relatively low volume, 600k shares traded, but that decent compared to recent activity.

On another note - I was looking up costs for utility solar PV and found this report specific to Africa. May have been posted before but I hadn't seen it. Very long, a little out of date and costs have been dropping rapidly but some interesting stuff in there.
