Bhants, no doubt it will recover over time and it's been a great one to trade since the covid19 crash. My only doubts regarding future sp levels kicks in when I look at the 5yr chart and where it was heading pre crash, was it starting to bottom out at £30 ish or did it have further to fall, we will never know. That was pre dilution and debt. Just putting it out there for thoughts.
Thanks bobot, it's just money tucked away for the long term,10yrs mimimum. I get great satisfaction knowing I'm not going to lose money on his fee :). Sometimes we question our decision especially when we have made more gains with one share, this one, with a lot less capital and all for the cost of a Halifax isa fee, not the cheapest but handy.
I'll start charging the wife a fee, second thoughts she does pay for the cruises.
Regarding the our IFA I will have a word with him to see if it can be changed. Obviously all the investment commissions can't be altered but his annual fee can be which we were asked at the time and chose to fund with with the growth ( yeh right).
I know not many are considering a princess cruise amongst the posters, just as a heads up anyway, setting up the medallion app that they use is an absolute nightmare to get to the green lane and ready to board :( which eventually we managed to do :). Only to be told this week, unless you take up their offer of a $10 charge per medallion to be posted to you you will be moved down to the blue lane and so bigger queues to embark taking longer:( and our priority boarding has disappeared, Oh well, cruising has certainly changed in the last 15yrs since we started.
Holo using the app say for the main restaurants allows you to walk in at the time you have booked with a fifteen minute window to allow you to get there once called or you can Q for a table. Entertainment is the same in the theater minus the fifteen minute window.
We are on the Sky Princess a week on Saturday up to fjords, looking forward to it. First Princess cruise in Europe the other being Australia which is a different ball game altogether. Wife's a bit miffed at this moment in time as you get free pizzas or a three course meal in Alfredo's, from August 19th the day we get on its $14.99 for the three course and 12 for a pizza, nickel and dimeing. The yanks are going mad about it.
They should have sent a team of the troll buggies down to pick them up.
Hard to believe but we were told some daredevils drive their cars across the lakes in the middle of winter. Can u imagine, er we've run out of milk love nip to the shops, take the short cut across the lake its quicker I'm dying for a brew.
Loen is the correct spelling that is used as alternative to Olden as we believe there are four ships at Olden the day we arrive, that's a lot for a small town.
As a heads up for anyone interested the local bus makes a one off stop at the cruise dock in olden at 9.55am to take you up to the glacier and returns at 2.30pm ish, cost 11K
Local bus ride up to the briskdal glacier shop absolutely beautiful stunning lakes and then a 1hr plus walk to the glacier with stunning scenery, not to be missed, done it three times and hopefully again in a few weeks time if we dock in Olden and not Lowen.
Took advantage ( to be confirmed ) of the drop topped up the wife and daughters holdings within a minute or two of each other's, wife's on Halifax @ 12.62 daughters on HL within a minute @ 12.44 when it was showing 12.59 to buy, lucky girl.
Morning meldrew44 I thought at the time that consolidations more often than not end up down where they started sp wise and they did. The rns says consolidation but then goes on to say subdivision which is the opposite.
Sharesforlife thanks for the recent info.
