No you can't hold back news flow your quite right Doc but you can hold back gas flow testing until your ready to release the news.
No it doesn't help the company but if they are investing a wodge of cash it does, example traffigura.

Historically if news is overdue its usually not as good as forecast, hopefully not. It may be kept back if that's the case and released with the new well to smooth things out.

With gas prices on the up anything over 200 boepd that holds constantly is a welcome addition to turnover and reserves. Not long for the next two wells and then on to farm out arrangements.

It has been very frustrating along the way and still is up to a point, market still reluctant to value ppc on the progress made over the last 2-3 yrs, long term its understandable, short term its frustrating and baffling, if that makes any sense.

The farm out is a 50% share for the cost of drilling the first well, and as I said that's just for the concession area to be drilled not the whole Paraguay sherbang

We have spent c $150m in Paraguay, but the farm out is only for associated concession which is unknown to us.
