@stuartv ... just because I (or anyone else for that matter) believe something could happen doesn't mean it will. It also doesn't mean it won't , however likely or unlikely it may be. What would happen to the share price if Tullow were made a take over offer of £1.50 a share ..... the share price would almost instantly double. Will that ever happen .... who knows.

100% In a day .... probably the most rampy statement I've ever seen on here :-).
That said, this share is so cheap it's really not impossible to believe it could happen. Oh man, that would be one of the best days of my life. Come on 100% Monday!!!!!

Damn .... there's a lot of animosity on this forum at the moment. Is it because...

* people sold too early and are bitter?
* people have shorted Tullow and it's flying?
* people are frustrated that we're not rising fast enough?
* people are frustrated at the price given the oil price?
* people invested prior to 2019 are sitting on big losses?
* people are frustrated that this is not 90p yet?
* people are just A holes in general?
* all of the above?

Yes and at least I'm not constantly negative..... simple fact is so far everything I've said since March last year has proved right.... if you've held you've done well.... and I still think if you keep holding you'll keep doing very well...... there's thousands of opinions on this site and most will be proved wrong, but we're all entitled to give our own and if you don't want to be challenged on yours don't post it.....

I don't care what you heard.... a little over a year ago we were 9p and are now over 60p..... 3 weeks ago we were 50p.... and now we're still over 60p..... To me that's a fantastic result and think we're headed for £1 plus once half year results get announced, new wells come online and Kenya sorted......

As for shrink-flation.... what is that supposed to mean....prices of everything else have gone up so I must now cry because Tullow has only gone up 100% since March..... pfffft!

Just wait till July when the half year results for the oil companies start getting announced .... oil shares are going fly!

The shorters have got this one spectacularly wrong and lost millions on Tullow. They had plenty of opportunities to cash out at 9p and 14p twice. Instead they're greedy ****ers and only want to cash out at 0p. They're getting everything they deserve!

Seem to remember you getting out at about 30p and then doing a 360 on your opinion of Tullow. Suddenly telling us how it was doomed to go nowhere. You were wrong and you'll be wrong again to sell again.

That said..... you're entitled to do whatever trades you like.....I always say....any trade where you don't make a loss is a good trade.

Damn right..... I think you were right with your post earlier this week.... Goodbye to the 50's..... when we hit 59 now everyone knows its a bargain and the buys kick in .... 70p soon and 80p next..... GLA

We close the week at over 60p and that's the biggest (by far) uncrossing trade I've seen since I started following this in March last year. Also, a nice chunky buy showing.

Jeffery....I withdraw my apology from earlier in the week....don't trust your motivations in posting stuff like that. If you are down as you say why don't you sell now and buy back at 10% lower this afternoon.

Exactly......this share has been to hell and back over the last year and a half. A 5% dip to the low 60's is hardly time to start panicking. I've held through much worse dips then this and it has always paid off. To me this one is no different and I'm still holding strong!

Short postions being closed and shares returned to be sold off..... remember that it's not only the big 3 who've reported their short positions to the FCA that have to close..... there are others with less than 0.5% who also need to close.... so think we'll see rises on days shorts are buying and dips on days MM's unload......but overall we'll being going up.....up up up

Reading this thread I was very sceptical that Tullow would actually buy back shares now given the debt etc. However, checking the market cap, which is a little under £900m at the current share price, buying back 10% would cost roughly £90m. At the current oil price they make more than that in a month. So thinking it's maybe it's not so improbable after.....possibly Rahul wants to turn the screw on the shorters.....burn em bad and hopefully get rid of them once and for all.... interesting to see what happens...
