Latest is the Mrs took the news better than expected. Maybe me offering her half the profits when we sell had something to do with it...... I know, I know, I'm such a coward but I didn't fancy having my dangly bits ripped off :-)

Think I did top up one day too soon, but impossible to predict exact right time to buy. Going to stick my neck out and predict a nice Blue Friday tomorrow and still confident we'll see a nice run up to the trading statement on Wednesday next week.

@Rock8 ... yes, still dropping a little ... impossible to time every trade at the exact bottom ... but only matters what the price is on the day I sell.

Amazes me how when oil hit the $55, $60, $65, $70, $75 price points everyone was so excited, but when it drops from $78 to $75 the sky is falling on our heads. Last year Tullow planned for $45 oil this year in their 10 year plan. Think we'll be OK at these oil prices and sure next week I'm going to be kicking myself for not topping up today.

LOL...Shawz problem is then she'll want half my stake in Tullow...... at this price half is not quite enough for me to afford the upgrade :-)

I wasn't going to pipe up till we were back to 65p, but seeing a lot of negativity on here which is understandable as we should be a lot higher. However everything is dropping at the moment. It's a bad day, however it'll recover quickly. As for Les buying shares ..... he didn't buy those as stated in the RNS:

"Purchase of securities and receipt of awards of free shares under the HMRC Approved Share Incentive Plan at the end of an accumulation period for savings."

Today could be a very good day to top up. I have 10K that I've been keeping for emergencies and very very tempted to put it in now. I need a new treadmill and it could make me a free treadmill by Wednesday next week. Only problem is it's in our joint account and the wife will see it disappear .... oh dear .... what do I do .... what do I do ... :-)

They knocked 5p off because they can ... but what they haven't been able to do for the past 6 months is stop Tullow from making money, hedging 75% of production for the next 2 years at a good price, continuing drilling new wells and executing Rahul's 10 year plan. The market likes certainty and until we see published figures we're at the mercy of the sharks. I think the next step up (into the 70's) will be the 14th of July or perhaps the week leading up to it. Subject to no nasty surprises of course.

Just a waiting game now.... GLA ... onwards and upwards!!!

Unfortunately I'm not clever enough to sell at the peaks and buy in again on the dips. However, I am clever enough to know that if I just keep holding I'll do very well one day in the future when I do decide to sell.

Of course .... today's dip is not Tullow specific .... RSDB dropped 3.5% too. For me the fact we didn't go below 60p on a bad day is very telling. This will bounce around the ranges on its way up and up.

Seems to be a shorter... One of the articles regarding Tullow on the Brevarthan Reserch website has this in bold at the top...

and YoungEngineer you must be the kind of person who is an idiot .... I bought Tullow shares at less than 10p last year and have held them ever since while I dream of them going back over a £1 .... hasn't turned into a wet dream just yet, as they're only a mere 62p at the moment.

Why buy a lottery ticket if you don't think you'll win. Why start a business if you think it'll fail. Why buy shares if you think they'll tank. Do I really believe Tullow will actually go up 100% in a day .... no .... is it possible ..... yes. It's free to dream ....
