So, basically here’s the update…

“The Company confirms that it is in advanced discussions with the Falkland Islands Government about the extension of these licences.
The Company also confirms that it is working on funding options for the next period of the Licences.”

Advanced talks, I’d like to think so, as there’s only 1 business day left before the licences run out… the funding options is typically vague, but as we have noted, a placement is just ridiculous at the current sp. So let’s see what they say next week as we will presumably have a further update on both points by Friday.

Hats off to you guys who are topping up, I’ve got some spare dollar in my isa, but it appears there is a limit to how far the elastic on my Y fronts will stretch…
I’m in far enough for my comfort level so it’s make or break.
My view has been for some time that if we take off the price will go well past my 6p break even, so adding more won’t make a huge difference when I’ve got 1.6m shares already.
Although I am slightly annoyed it’s not an even 2m, but that’s just my OCD scratching at the back of my head.

Hi Gus, there’s definitely something afoot here and I would put £95k on it, actually I already have :)
Looks like ball busting negotiations with a buyer or farm in partner, or possibly more than one party at the table so BOR are holding out for the best deal before they lock it down and put out an RNS.
As I see it these are the only 2 practical options for us and we will find out by next Mon.

Well £150k is a lot of cheddar, but it’s all relative. I’m in for £95k with 1.6m shares so I’ve got another 5p to go before I see a break even price.
I’m looking forward to seeing how next week plays out.

I’m in sales and I’m flat out telling you, I’d work my way round the oil barons and kick their doors in, introduce myself as Jodie Foster and leap onto the nearest ping ball machine and present my cooch with a £500m price tag!!!
Even that price is corporate rape, but it gives us a pound a share and puts me in the millionaires club, so I’ll take it.

My pot jumped up by £10k on Thursday, so I’m over the moon with that as a starter for ten. I crunched a few numbers ahead of our price rise and 50 million is corporate theft, for that matter so is 100 million. If this is a buy out I think it will be at least 100 large and with bor getting a back hand on every barrel, or 500 large and we walk away.
Personally, I don’t give a 2 bob bit, as long as we see the value we have held out for.

Hi 007, welcome to the party mate. It’s been an interesting couple of days. The short version is that we are all waiting on an rns from Bor before the end of Jan and this industry fella joins in with an order for 15 million shares. Price went from .69p to 1.25p in a couple of hours.
So my post title pretty much sums it up, 1 week till month end, license renewals due and cash required to meet licence obligations, no chance of a placing so farm in or buy out are the only real options… It’s either a very devious dude or a fella with some serious nouce (and very large underwear).
I’m calling it and going with nouce on this one :)
10 friggin years is a long time to wait, but wait we have and we deserve a pay day, or put out of our misery. We will find out soon enough.

Hi Geo, I remember seeing that comment on the institutions not being happy at a low ball offer, I think it was Gus who said it. I agree with him, or whoever it was. But what choice do they have ?
As per my comments below on price £100m is absolutely fair, and dirt cheap when you weigh it all up.
I really do not see any chance if a farm in, but I’ll happily be surprised on that.
I’d say a bit out is the only practical move at this stage. This would also explain the silence from our BOD. Although to be fair, silence is their default position. They only say something if there is something to be said.

Just thinking of the valuation of BOR and on reflection a fait and reasonable price must be closer to £500m for the company and more specifically the acreage that we have, the modelling that has been done and the current discovery. This would value us at £1 per share !!!
£100m seems like we are being robbed blind, but I’ll happily take it !!!
On a separate note, how in gods good name did these guys convince the main investors to part with all that cheddar, based simply on potential. And here we are with an actual discovery with billions and we can’t get a brass razoo for it ?

Well said Gus, I’d fall of my chair if a farm-in is in the works at their stage of the game. When you do the math it just doesn’t add up.
Geo, I do see your point, although I have to say Gus covers my thoughts quite comprehensively. If we where to get a farm in with back costs being paid, the drill costs alone are over £100m, that would give us an instant 20p SP, not to mention the further increase based on the deal we struck at say even 80 a 20% split.
I also have to recognise Big Bear and his comments as he raises a good question. I am not well versed on the contract that was signed with the FI, so I don’t know what the impact is if we go bust. Any ideas on this folks ?
I do think through that the smart move is to avoid a bidding war for the licence and straight up buy it from Borders by acquiring the company at a bargain price between £50-£100m.
Just my thoughts and I’ll look forward to finding out one way or the other.

I’m so glad it’s Jan 2022 and as noted in the half year report, we will basically need to Poo or get off the pot this month !
After more than 10 years holding fast I’m just happy to get to the end of the road. This is either windfall or bust for me, but after this long I just want something significant to happen. If it’s bust then so be it, I put my cash down and accept the risks. Then again, I cannot fathom how this asset can just get flushed down the crapper with nothing to show, that makes no sense at all !!!
As I’ve said before, I don’t see any chance of a placing, so a buy out or takeover is the only option left (other than going bust).

I see my 27,377 top up showing. That takes me to 1.6M shares. I was sorely tempted to even it up at 2M but my bottle crashed lol.
I’ve got a 6p break even price, so I hope these guys are having a deep and meaningful conversation with someone who loves oil and has deep pockets !!!

Geo, that’s an I gérer I g comment on the funding paperwork not being filed, sounds promising as a fund raise at this level is beyond a joke.

Gus, I completely agree with you. A farm in is highly unlikely so selling up had to be the most likely option here. At 10p a share I’d be happy to accept that offer and would consider it an absolute steal for the person with the cheque book.
Our area is worth billions so £75m for the whole lot is petty cash in comparison.
