kevman, jaknife is a nasty piece of work and never, in tn years of these boards, have I ever seen him have a good word to say about any share. He's a shorter. That's not to say that he doesn't sometimes get it right. He does. But we all do that. regardless, never take your investment cue from these boards. They are full of people trying to manipulate sentiment.

" And if you want corruption, look no further than the House of Commons, or most world parliaments for that matter. The US is appalling. Corporates buying politicians left right and centre. And as for Russia... which is pushing brexit hard so it can weaken the EU and regain influence in eastern Europe.

But let's not start a political discussion.

The German arkets do not report a rise in the mid price, they report the difference between the value of the last trade, and the one before it. Because no one knows if any given trade is a sell of a buy. And if the spread is wide, then the % differences are large.

Many links that you post contain a question mark and a lot of stuff after it. That stuff identifies the source of the link and often the user. It's a kind of tracking. If you delete the question mark and everything that comes after it, the link will still work but you won't be tracked.

... certainly not for the impatient. A year ago, I was anticipating the DFS coming out about now. Deeply frustrating, and personally for me, very awkward. I continue to hold the faith though. I suspect that a state change is going to come out of nowhere with an associated rerate. But I wish it would hurry up and happen.

newboy, you're right to regret DL and associated investments. Good luck with those. But EMH, despite the KDNC minority involvement, will come right because it's in more stable hands, and because it has to happen. The EU won't allow this to not happen.

In my opinion, borrowing shares of others without their knowledge or agreement in order to reduce their value is morally indefensible.

Shorting is illegal in many markets though, and should be in the UK.
