Hi I used to be a regular poster on this board a few years ago. Re the Director holdings I don’t know about 30% but the ex CEO Mark Routh owns 6% and Pete Young the ex FD (still works for IOG but not as a Director) owns 8%. Those two are still very invested.
Profit taking for sure. Perfectly normal on big moves - essential in fact!
I think a few people were looking for a pullback to 1130 - which would have been a 50% retrace of the recent low to high move. It actually caught a lot of buyers around 1200 and I think caught a few by surprise hence the strong finish. I managed to add to my holding around there which I'm more than happy with. On and up.
With an emerging bull market in gold and silver to face into its a surprise it's not trading well ahead of the NAV rather than at a massive discount. In real terms the gold and silver prices are still very strong despite recent pull backs, this will continue to hit the bottom lines of the miners that GPM are invested in and can really only see the NAV lying strong and rising from here. Anything sub 55p looks decent value to me at today's G/S prices.
Hi all, It's quite well geared to the Cocoa price which is cyclical (not withstanding a longer term upward trend). We've just gone through its seasonal low and should be on our way to a high sometime towards the end of the year - I closed a Cocoa short last week and opened up my long position. In my view we should see this mirror the rise of the commodity all being well from here on. I bought a small holding at 110 which was badly timed before the crash to 80 and subsequent recovery, but no reason why we shouldn't see 200p plus once Cocoa is in the 3500 range. Will be buying more into that rise as it becomes more established.
Hi all, Bought in here pre results as the news flow from the company & in particular Huntsman developments looked very positive to me. I can see plenty of news flow in the pipeline. Any views from established posters on here what caused the drop which allowed me such a decent entry price?
Bought in here a couple of days ago after watching for a little while. Adding variety to my portfolio. Looks consolidated at this low point in my view. Am looking for it to gear on Cocoa price rising later this year - seems to track closely historically to me when you eliminate the one-off company specific events which have impacted the share price.
SP depressed anyway due to a seller by the looks of it. New director, director share buys, has cash and now what looks like a pretty interesting investment to me. RNS was late on Friday and it was "Christmas do" night so I'm expecting this to get plenty of attention Monday morning. I actually do think this has a sharp short-term correction in it at the very least and possibly much more.
