Returning to Trinitymans’ original thread, the CHUMOCRACY that is Boris et al is too busy scratching each other’s backs to be overly concerned with SNG at the moment.

Boris keeps busy painting fantasy pictures of the future doing ‘Moonshots’ , ‘straining every sinew’ but always with ‘Gusto !’

I firmly believe market forces will get the job done and dithering politicians will only properly step in when their much vaunted vaccines don’t cut the mustard.

In the UK there’s a fairly established tradition of pointing the finger at less developed countries to lambaste their high levels of corruption. They are still learning and simply lack our sophistication.

Its a bit like looking down your nose at a hard up single mother shoplifter caught shoving a few pounds worth of groceries down her dress. Whilst the upper echelons are ‘legally’ helping themselves & stripping the assets worth hundreds of millions from the workers pension fund and there are no penalties and there’s no fuss because these guys have the benefit of an expensive education and respectability.

In the UK and other developed nations we just do corruption on whole a different level and only the really stupid ones get caught.

For those in power caught with their hands in the till they are allowed to simply move sideways or at worst voluntarily retire to draw a massive pension.

In days of old they might have chosen to fall on their swords to try and absolve the folk who had hired them of any culpability. Less likely these days just front it out and pedal a bit of spin and the world moves on and forgets your wrongdoing.

Ms Bingham should be packing her bags and hanging her head in shame. Instead she’ll just massively profit from her shameful behaviour. I only hope there is karma.

Otherwise who are going to complain to? Boris ? Good luck with that one.

From the excellent info unearthed here over the last few days barring a reversal of the earlier trial results ( which is almost unthinkable ) I couldn’t be more confident.

Too many snippets pointing towards this beast being on a roll, gathering mass and momentum. Make me as confident as I can be this will happen in a big way.

Once efficacy is accepted it should only take one country, pretty much any country to push the button and other nation states will follow. Then you have questions about potentially satisfying The resulting demand. But again regards this I am confident SNG have and will continue to find the partnerships to make this happen until the ‘inevitable ‘ comes knocking. :)

Sadly Pressure can only help SNG.

Massive pressure across the globe must surely focus the response. Yo - Yoing in and out of lockdown is a blunt unsustainable measure that also causes massive collateral damage. It buys a small amount of time but it is not a solution to anything.

Pressure is building day by day. The solution to any kind of normality is effective treatment as soon as viably possible IMHO.

The market value of such a treatment is beyond me, a world without it doesn’t bear thinking about.

Jack some quite otherwise normal people become rabid lunatics when they get behind the wheel of a car. I guess it gives them the delusion of power.

For some it’s maybe an outlet for a lot of angst that they feel normal rules of behaviour doesn’t apply. They can enjoy anonymity firing off 4 letter insults from their keyboards when in real life they wouldn’t say boo to their wife.

There’s nowt as queer as folk but be assured reacting to it is how they get their kicks. So don’t let it bother you or mistake it for the cut and thrust of well intentioned banter which is gladly also a feature on this board.

There is in-spite of all that a lot of clever informative posts which folk share for the greater good so enjoy those & you know the rest.....

My issue remains that we cannot simply roll our eyes and accept the massive unfounded first to market advantage being bestowed on a competitor.

SNG lacks any depth of recognition and I believe Pmjh and others are correct in saying we need to help in a concerted manner. Sitting on our hands and allowing others a distinct unfair advantage doesn’t cut it for me.

I believe SNG is now better focussed to deliver but also at every appropriate opportunity we should seek to shine a very bright light on the absurdity which is bing conducted in plain sight.

ChrisToffer you are absolutely correct balanced an thoughtful as usual.

My point and I think what pmjh is saying is that we need to be smart and try to exert some influence on helping SNG.

We are of course not operating in a vacuum and when Remdesivir enjoys massive unfounded investment and First to market advantage that does affect our potential success.

I think collectively we need to do whatever we can to get SNG recognised and discussed on mainstream media. I Also believe that in those efforts we should also be shining a bright light on our competitors when they are winning the race with little or no clinical benefit to the sick people relying them.

I just think just rolling our eyes and moving on isn’t going to cut it.

Doesn’t this void any contract and shouldn’t the EU be chucking the stuff in the bin and asking for a full refund then seeking damages ?

So why are we using Remdesivir in UK hospitals when independent evaluation that should have taken place has been bypassed?

Why are we using and paying for Remdesivir as a treatment of choice in UK hospitals when the WHO evaluation was low to questionable benefit and a published Chinese study showed it to have zero benefit?

Questions perhaps for the good folk pulling the strings ?

I watched Remdesivir two days ago being talked about in a Welsh hospital as a treatment of choice on a news item.

It has been rolled out in UK hospitals with a spectrum of benefit somewhere between low to useless. It is here affectively having been pushed through the back door without normal evaluation or process by a Trump stooge.

This really is a bloody scandal. Our own offering SNG, was booted off a fast track evaluation here in favour of an antibiotic.

This is a bloody corrupt SCANDAL!

Nothing less and all the various complaints on here like this is ‘strange’ or ‘feels like we are being overlooked’ that’s because it is and we are
