think risk is mispriced at the moment. Renewables generate cash flow forever while fossil fuels have a finite life. A couple of decarb projects pumping out the last of the oil in retiring reservoirs and the economics will have proof of concept.

I am more positive. BP is greening faster than exxon et al and while funds are exiting 'dirty' oilers, there is an emerging trend to greening oilers.
BP have set a transition glide path that sustains and grows the div. Unless looney throws the baby out with the bathwater BP is a cash machine at these oil prices.. A couple more green project wins and storming cashflow, whats not to like?

'I assume the bumper profits from Rosneft get shown in our Q3 results?'
I think Q3 will include bumper profits, however the supplementary information in the BP Q2 group databook says:
'The Rosneft segment is unchanged and continues to include equity-accounted earnings from the group's investment in Rosneft. Comparative numbers in this databook for 2019 and 2020 reflect the new segment structure.'
and specifically includes:
'Underlying replacement cost profit before interest $949m for Q1 and Q2' so looks like BPs share included?

Not sure what the timing difference is between the equity accounted element in BPs results and the published accounts from Rosneft yesterday.

Yep. The ebb and flow of sentiment around inventories will be buried under revenue/ volume growth, cashflow/ buybacks etc and confirmed in H2/ 2022 reporting.
