Your comment about employing teenagers reminded me of this.

Many years ago I worked for a really innovative IT company. The parent company never really understood what we did, trashed the business and sold us off to a fairly successful it business that did very stodgy run of the mill work for government and military.

All my team were sent on intensive “induction” courses high consisted of working through hundreds of pages of prescribed methodologies and systems and documentation standards etc etc.

At the end of it, all the creativity and enthusiasm was gone. Eventually I gave up, and left to start my own business. My boss was shocked, and at the exit interview, I said, you never once asked us what we had, or what we thought about your systems, or what ideas we had that you could take advantage of.

Any organisations never take advantage of the talent they employ.

Colon, GKP was in Kurdistan, and caught up in the conflict in that region, which led to problems in getting paid and developing the field. In addition Todd Kozel the head honcho was involved in a messy divorce. Or something like that.

The presentation confirms the plans almost exactly as the “rah rah” brigade hoped they would be, so not much else to be said.

Quick skim, but except for a jaw dropping bluebird event, it is everything I’d hoped for.

Particularly like the explanation of why “going big quickly” isn’t the best strategy (antithesis of SOU, the reference to Cove (!) and the explanation re no farmout.

Be interesting to see what the FUD boys come up with.

Not my thing normally but if sentiment overamplifies sp movements I wonder about setting a small portion of my holding aside to trade peaks and troughs. Might keep things interesting and pay for the odd treat!
