Boiled Frog syndrome is an analogy for a situation which deteriorates in tiny steps such that those involved don’t notice until it’s too late and they are doomed. The notion is that if you place a frog in cold water and heat it up gradually, it doesn’t react until it is killed. If you placed it in hot water, it would jump out and be saved.Let us assume that a certain poster is trying to be helpful by drawing attention to this. The nature of these risks is diametrically opposite to those comprising a frog analogy. Everybody’s level of exposure should reflect those risks in the context of their overall portfolio.I don’t normally respond to this continuous goading, but this is a great example of throwing half baked crap about. As for the centipede - I had to Google that. As fellow investors and contributors, you should be pretty angry if someone characterises you like that.Over and out.
