First of all, this level of loss is huge for most of us, but not for GM as he pocketed millions from company dividends.
Secondly, regardless of that, still think that GM invested his money as he has a bigger picture of the highly profitable company in his mind. Details about the company future apparently to be in Q2, so not much time left to wait ... hole to see a breakpoint at some point in May, the only way is up IMO
Time will tell

Yeah, cmon GM, give us good news, let the Fool spread some good news other than 'future is uncertain' etc

Nice guidance for Full Year 2021, they can (at least try) forecast. Ncyt just said in the last rns, it's difficult to forecast or something similar ... I wish Ncyt would post similar guidance for 2021 with their 2020 Full Year Results. Fingers crossed.
The next key point will be to issue antibody LFT, the sooner the better, otherwise, we gonna miss the point. The market seems to like LFTs for some reason, they are supported by the government and they are even being compared to PCR tests (which is complete nonsense!)
From the last RNS "Research and Development Update"
"Development of the COVID-19 antibody lateral flow test"
"Development of the loop-mediated isothermal amplification COVID-19 test"
Wait and Hold.
huge interest worldwide,
can see people from NHS, scientists, from universities, ThermoFisherScientific, researches from UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South Americas, few investors and stockbrokers (mainly from the UK and USA)

That's the end of government transparency games. We gonna see Matt Han***** decisions within 30 days. That's should help research a lot...
Quickdraw,
Thank you for the comprehensive answer and link to the euro surveillance website.
I believe that Novacyt may jump in front of the Cepheid and become the first choice for laboratories.
Guys are always in front, forward-thinking, maybe not communicating as often as shareholders would want, but remmeber £1mln/day, that means £50mln of cash made in 2021 only (till today). Good things to come soon. GLA
"But the South African version is harder to track because it shares all three genes with the original strain so PCR results cannot differentiate between the two, meaning researchers need to manually sequence each sample in a laboratory. " - I am sure Promate can do that, no need to go to the laboratory.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9274907/Now-scientists-spot-variant-Finland-detects-new-strain.htmlSorry if already postedAnother Covid variant.I quote "The researchers said regular PCR tests - the gold standard Covid tests around the world - will not be able to detect the new variant. This is also the case with the South African variant, which can only be confirmed through lab analysis. Whereas the swabs do pick up the Kent strain. The PCR test looks for three genes present on the original virus that came out of China, the S gene, N gene and ORF1ab. " I disagree with this article. I know one company which can detect the South African variant (for unaware forum users -> Novacyt). And I hope we can also detect the Finnish variant... Come on GM, give us good news ;) we may to expect an rns soon IMO
Look like this is from GISAID EpiCoV database as of 5th February 2021 (Friday) and published 8th February 2021 (Monday).
They are updating this weekly indeed.
We can expect next update for this week database as of 12th February 2021 (Friday) to be published 15th February 2021 (Monday).
More numbers coming is more confirmation of how reliable and outstanding the product is.
Waiting for good news to come. Be patient.
Regarding '308,000' figure this was confirmed by this
https://www.genesig.com/assets/files/COVID_19_Specificity_Statement_issue_50.pdf
This number now grew to 334,000 as per
https://www.genesig.com/assets/files/COVID_19_Specificity_Statement_issue_51.pdf
That tells me they analyze 26,000 of sequences per week
Keep going guys. Very good effort
The latest issue 51 (dated Feb 8th 2021) available, this is the link

Ha ha. Don't expect the takeover in the near future. Lol GM & Co have plan, I never came across a company where you see Continuous Improvement on weekly basis.
Hugely impressed by the company portfolio updates. I've worked as a continues improvement engineer globally and delivered very good results in many counties like Sweden, Germany and the UK of course. Old story. Companies I've provided consultancy services were big boys Kraft Foods, Marabou, Coca-Cola, Bosch , but in terms of the improvement and new product launches really Novacyt exceeds my expectations. I'm going to email GM this weekend and will share his response next week (providing he'll reply).
all we need now is a DHSC contract trigger
remember ncyt 2021 forecasts?
