In recent years, a third of foreign investment in Russia falls on the Far East. And their total volume, which will arrive before 2025, will amount to 3.9 trillion rubles. This was told by the presidential envoy in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev.
Foreign investment in the Far East, according to the plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, makes up about 7% of the total structure, but in Russia as a whole, foreign direct investment in the Far Eastern Federal District reaches 33%.
“If we talk about the total volume of foreign investment in the structure of all investments that come to the Far East, then there are about 7% of them, not so many. But if you look at the same figure in the structure of all direct foreign investments coming into the territory of the Russian Federation, then 33% in recent years has begun to come to the Far East. This is 16 times more than before the start of our work, these are significant changes, ”the Deputy Prime Minister said in an interview with Russia 24 on Friday,
“In total, 44 federal laws were passed to create other, better conditions for attracting investment and developing the economy in the Far East. These are electronic visas, and a reduction in energy tariffs, and ASEZs, and infrastructure support for investment projects, and the free port of Vladivostok. In all, in all the preferential shells, that is, with the support of the state, we already have 1,800 projects. The total amount of investments that will come to the Far East until 2025, before the completion of these projects, is 3.9 trillion rubles, ”the envoy said.
“These are not fairy tales, because today 611 billion have already arrived, they have already been invested in the economy of the Far East. More than 200 enterprises have already been built. Until 2024, 144 thousand jobs will be created, 39 thousand have already been created, ”he added.
The plenipotentiary also said that the national program for the development of the Far East, which will become one of the key topics of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) in early September in Vladivostok, if adopted, will allow a breakthrough in improving the quality of life in the region, writes TASS.
