"The two parties reaffirmed their will at a meeting held on December 19 in Brazzaville, on the occasion of a visit by the Chinese delegation, led by the director of the office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Yang Jiechi.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen exchanges with the Congolese side to promote the implementation of the consensus reached by the Chinese and Congolese heads of state, including those of the Bejing Summit on Sino-African Cooperation (Focac) so that the peoples of both countries benefit more.

In his intervention during the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Congolese Abroad, Jean Claude Gakosso, said that the opportunity was perfect for "breathing new life" into bilateral cooperation.

The head of Congolese diplomacy highlighted three major projects previously stopped by Brazzaville and Beijing. He cited the flagship project of the Pointe-Noire special economic zone which, according to him, should "serve as a locomotive for other projects" ...etc

The potential steel works link up sounds great. All a positive step forward!
