The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Posting this during a quiet moment, in the hope that it offers some tonic to the disingenuous lunacy one sees on this board daily from the same handful of posters.
I feel that a buy-out from a big pharma player is a strong possibility here, for obvious reasons others have articulated previously. What strikes me though is the feeling of deja-vu I'm experiencing, stemming from my experience of being a holder of a US stock a few years ago. At the time, it had a similar mcap to Angle and had developed a novel product and treatment pathway in the food allergy field. As its Phase III trial was concluding, it was bought out by a well-known, global confectionary maker, following three earlier (and relatively small) investments by them in the company over a period of a year or so.
It is my opinion - and hope - that this is what we're seeing here with AZ and that an offer will be made in due course.
Until this happens - and indeed, if it happens - all the best you all.
That's better...! Thank you, universe.
But still, contract win vs MCAP - should be comfortably (and conservatively) around 15 - 16 way in the very short term. Tekmar is the very definition for an AIM-listed company, if all things were equal and as they should be.
...and barely a twitch.
Honestly, this is one of the strangest shares I've ever been in. One of the very best in terms of fundamentals - but the strangest in terms of market reaction to good news.
So it goes. Bags are long packed, waiting patiently for a 2 - 3x. GLA.
Excellent news - and news that, in the case of most AIM rubbish, would garner a far more significant increase that it has so far. Still, preferable to be here than in those.
Around 18p+ is genuine fair value here, IMO.
Agreed but a proper hidden gem that moves quickly on little volume. Far prefer that to some jam-tomorrow hole in the ground somewhere.
No - all buys, and all within a matter of seconds of each other. Same thing happened about two days ago but I don't think anybody on the BB mentioned it. Same sum, too - £30k.
Personally, I think it's somebody averaging down (drastically) and hoping to bump up the bid by making block purchases within a tiny timeframe. Which is a shame, of course, as it probably pre-empts chunky 1,000,000 sells either tomorrow or early next week in the absence of any such movement north.
A pure guess on my part - and I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. We'll see, I suppose.
SML just given a mention on Share Talk. Notes recovery since Dec and potential of hitting 1.10 over coming weeks, based on charts. Here's to hoping.
Great to see this recover after the CF dumping. Short-term target for me is 2.9, medium-term 3.4 and long-term, 4.7.
GLA.
Solid.
Nickel now at $13k.
Nickel now $12,250. Up around $600 in a week? Interesting!
All useful info - thanks Slubby.
Happy to see this climb gradually over the next few months. Twitter traders' groups do this no good in the short or long run. Cashed up for 2019, recent director buys and of course, the recent RNS all indicate - to me, at least - a share to hold for the next 12 months.
Yes, with full ask being paid for a £5k buy - and yet no movement on the bid!
Bought in here a week ago, after reading the latest financial report and following the first director buy. GLA.
That's settled then - the march begins. I'm not planning on selling a single bean for at least two years, so won't be posting until then. Good luck to you all.
On the day that Bitcoin hits yet another all-time high - $14k, up 37% in 7 days. GLA today. Should be good.
BJ - I buy BTC with Coinbase and then send to Bittrex to buy the other cryptos. Taff - Go to coinmarketcap to see the full list. Just check out the 7d rises on most (literally most) of the top 100.
Hopefully. The yearly percentage rises of the curruencies I mentioned are staggering. BTC up close to 500%, Ethereum over 4000% and Litecoin over 2000%. Each to their own and all that but during the last two months, I've sold most of my shares in order to put them into crypto. No messing about with little holes in the ground and endless promises of jam. Kept hold of ONL for the link to blockchain. So far, selling up the others has proven to be the correct thing to do - crypto portfolio up 625% in just over 50 days. Of course there are risks, especially with some of the smaller coins, but for that type of return, I'm willing to take it. Good luck to you all.
Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin all hit all-time highs this weekend. So had you invested in one Bitcoin last Sunday, for example, you'd now be $2000 up. After 7 days. Keep this in mind when you read posts that tell you that blockchain isn't worth investing in.
A few thoughts on the coin that ADVFN have 'released' recently, just in case my thoughts are worth a damn to anybody...! It's currently 'experimental' and a 'just for fun' tool for educating ADVFN's users on blockchain and mining etc. I personally can't see it remaining that way, not with all the developments currently taking place. This will become ADVFN's currency, I think - and if that's the case, then they will seriously ahead of the game in terms of incorporating crypto into mainstream e-commerce.
Well done you! That's how it's done. Myself, I'm holding - despite already sitting on a 'tidy sum' of profit - because I can't help but see that things are lining up nicely for a significant year in 2018. Good luck to you all.
