Whilst in reality and in all probabilities, Jacob is merely referring to the NHS' public call for winter tests, published several months ago, which several companies have answered.

Han**** and his cronies have promoted little-known DNAfudge and other shell companies, so you know, anything is possible.

"Clinicians only need to interpret the result. You don’t need them to do the actual test. That’s why your clinician doesn’t need to be in the vicinity of the test to give a diagnosis, as long as you have a suitable way of getting the result to them".

I.e. actual test doesn't need to be performed by a "healthcare professional" *if* by this one means "doctor", "nurse" or the like.

Primerdesign's answer : "All diagnostics are “tools” to aid in the diagnosis of a disease. The result derived must be interpreted by a clinician before a formal diagnosis can be made or given."

Which could be interpreted thusly : "Only a doctor is allowed to look at your test results and tell you whether you have the coronavirus or not. (But he doesn't have to perform the test himself - tee-hee)."

We're defo well-placed and timing is excellent as you point out. In theory we could land a nice contract, but who knows which companie(s) Han**** was referring to.

Yep Deas. If saliva is used with our Winter test, then no professional is needed at the sample collection stage.

However that sample then needs to be processed for the PCR analysis, and the ensuing results need to be interpretated. Both steps require training, and that's in fact why tutorial videos have been recently commissioned.

Now, maybe "healthcare professionals" aren't really needed for these. Despite the required training, STEM students could probably be enrolled to run these tests.

AK, if Han**** did mention the tests were manufactured in the UK, they Viasure would be out - and that's be good news.

... Unless they've pledged to move their production in the UK in order to get a UK Gov. contract !
One more reason why we should be careful at this point.

Yes Legin, not only do we have the right test, as you point out there are also major clues that could point towards NCYT being very involved in a winter testing campaign (including the NHS tutorial video rumour).

But remember the very fresh airport testing rumour fiasco, which involved AVCT and ODX shareholders. Both claimed it was their test being mentionned. But it turns out AVCT holders were wrong, and their SP is down 4,5% today... which could be a more or less direct result of that chaotic ramping.

I don't mind the anticipation Deas, but I've seen some posts from NCYT shareholders basically proclaiming that we've been named dropped, hence that we've won a major contract.

That, in my book, is crossing the line, turning excitement into ramping. And we know the disastrous effects that ramping can lead to.

Which is why, as much as well positioned our test is, and as much as we want a meaty contract, we should refrain from taking our desires for the reality.

Great remark. So that's two more potential competitors which may have been selected and referred to by the health minister.

We can still hope to be part of the 3-4 different tests that fit the bill and will be bought by the gubmint.

I have a major with (as yet) baseless ramping. Because if it turns out it's not your test that's being promoted, guess what'll happen to the SP ? That's right, it'll crash down.

That's the issue with rampers, either they're too low brow to think about the negative consequences, or they're in fact smart shorters who'll benefit from the negative consequences.

The question is : which are you ?

Our new winter test is great 'n sheeeeet, but remember that there are other such tests available from different manufacturers.

This is already being done. Perhaps Anglos don't use this method, but others sure do.
