Yeah I've been burned too whilst investing in a pharma, though not due to trial results because the f***ers announced a surprise capital increase.

If I were you and given your past experience, I'd invest less than originally planned in SNG, and the rest in a different company with a solid cashflow ; or even a de-risked pharma (e.g. Acacia Pharma which already got two FDA approvals but whose SP is low due to lack of sales yet).

One can only wish that this putative European sale won't be announced the same day a vaccine receives commercial approval, since that could largely nullify the SP gains.
