Well, isn't it obvious ? GDR is selling its tests behind the scene, and silently builds up the required infrastructure, but who cares how long it takes since it's for the long term !

I am in full agreement with Pa11ma11 regarding the fact that this BB is pathetic.

However, where we diverge is over the cause of its patheticness.

What's truly sad is the number of utterly deluded investors who are willing to gloss over the CEO's gross incompetence, coming up with improbable excuses to cover his failures, entering conspiracy theory territory.

They won't accept that their dear leader has failed, because ultimately that'd amount to accepting that they have failed as well. This is a pathtological denial.

These gullible people are a danger to themselves, but more worryingly, to other people as well ; since their delusions can contaminate the feeble minded, and also provide undue validation to businessmen unfit to lead a company.

The place of these people is not in a stock market. Their place is in an asylum, where they can be either rehabilitated or kept away from society in order to safeguard the social order.

What we have learned in the course of this debacle is that, with Mr Bean at the helm, sales and partnerships are the problem.

It seems more likely that GDR will make do in very niche markets, like that of the hearing test it's developing.

Erm, "for many months in alleged tech transfer" seems like a more accurate description.

Where did that money in the bank come from ? Given that DB has sold zilch, it had to come from a placing.

A placing means that investors, especially private ones, have seen their expected profits diluted. Which is sometimes acceptable - e.g. when the sales are extremely promising.

Except, once again, David hasn't sold any Bean.

What gives ? It means that up to now, investors have been stuffed, for David Bean has yet to show that he understands Business 101 : make profit. And profit comes from sales.

A byproduct of this awkward situation is the artificially inflated SP. It's inflated because, again, Genedrive has only been able to sell hot air up to now. That doubling has been speculative - based on the dream of making money thanks to the pandemic, which for som strange reason has yet to happen.

The conclusion is that whilst the *business* might be better on the paper, the *private investors* are worse off. Hence, I wouldn't be so sure that his bonus was deserved.

David Bean was paid a bonus for a job he hasn't done, given he didn't sell any.

Surely private investors should find this extremely problematic.

Yes Babu, commercial incompetence to be specific. I don't think the engineers are at fault, the issue squarely lies with the managers (who either did not give appropriate orders to the sales team, or did not correct their mistakes).
