It seems certain Labour will win the election so does anybody have any views how their plans for a new British Energy company will effect UKW ? Will they be competitors or customers or both ?.

I agree with the sentiment of what you write, no 2 cases are the same but the president with foreign Big Pharma and Big oil companies are already set in the US media and scum bag firms ..I would like GSK to counter claim against the law firms and rent a victim and make them pay for our lost earnings per share let them get a taste of some GSK medicine !!!.

I was reading about the serbia mine and all the election problems etc tec a few months ago ,RIO did a presentation also and most of the mining I believe is under ground and the land above would be managed and greened very well ..Thought she might bounce today on the news .If it gets past the political mumbo jumbo which I think it will now as money talks , and as its not really a scar on the landscape like iron ore mining , so hopefully it will get the green light in 2-5 years and be a good earner especially with europe imposing electric cars on everybody

They say investing in RIO is like investing in China which can be good and bad. With recent projections of 4.75% growth in China I think I read do we think RIO will stop falling ? I personally want to get away from UK faced stocks and have sold LLOYDS and TW and GSK after many years of ulcers to top up here , just need to maybe sit on my hands a bit longer until she makes a solid rise, I am not the most patient of investors but telling myself to wait to see what fall out our election and the French election brings as the markets like any excuse to short stocks.

Its with a very heavy heart I sold half my GSK shares today as they were inherited from my Parents. I will sit on the side lines with my war chest and if we win get back in asap. If we loose at least the sum bag Lawyers and ambulance chasers wont wipe me out completely , cant win what ever I do and really bloody annoyed having to go so defensive but don't think the sp will rise much until after the next round of appeals and my parents will turn in their grave ifi loose my inheritence..

Pleased to see GSK are getting tough and the recent claim pulling out says to me most alleged victims never took the drug or are making it up for an easy pay off. I am retired now but having spent 30 odd years in courts I know right and wrong and justice is nothing to do with anything !!!! .Its ALL about making money by the legal professions. The alleged drug takers and GSK are just pawns to generate legal fees and appeals NOTHING ELSE !!!..Do you honestly want the people you represent to go guilty or say they are making it up or not sure ? , No the more days at court the better . Just 1 Average barrister makes £1k a day usually on legal aid plus the solicitors fees etc etc etc imagine how much large legal teams of dozens lawyers make with mutliple claimants ?.Do they want the game to stop of course not !.As soon as I here all we want is justice for our clients you know legal teams are on a gravy train. Sorry anybody that thinks any legal system and the jury system is robust and sound is in cloud cuckoo land. The trial by jury system is just a brilliant way of causing confusion and doubt. If 12 people went into a cafe would they all agree and order the same meal ? agree to drink the same drink ? or support the same political party or football teams etc etc ? Of course not you cant get 12 people to agree anything the best of times. Plus no disrespect but do you honesty think the average jury member will understand ANY of the science involved in this case ? .Of course not its pay day for the lawyers all they need is to cause doubt ??? I have seen it so many times , any time I hear somebody talk about the great legal system and how wonderful the jury system is, mainly by lawyers I have to throw something at the tv. Anyway rant over hopefully GSK will offer them £1k per liar and we can get on with our lives ? but I doubt it .

She is slowly coming back up again , has anybody seen any time line when the appeal against these Ambulance chasers and judge takes place ? .Thats the time to be in cash for a few months , if we loose that GSK is toast and open to every nutter and ambulance chaser for decades . .I hope they are actually checking every single person who even claims to have taken the drug ? finding 70k people allegedly with cancer caused only by GSK drugs beggars realistic belief anyway .I'm sure a lot of brown envelopes to alleged key prosecution witnesses and 'alleged experts' are being handed out right now, just say this and we will see you alright . Hate to say it, and I know its the principle , but it may be worth GSK paying out a few hundred million now as its cheaper than share holders loosing billions later ! .I am sure horse trading is being considered right now . Its also about time any firm doing business in America either pulls out or provides far more robust protection to share holders.

We have not even had the us market open yet , they should suspend sale of gsk today and why oh why shorting is even allowed is beyond me ?it serves no purpose other than gambling.Lets hope she bounces back A BIT BY FRIDAY.?.

As I said in my previous entry this is a shorters paradise caused by Ambulance chasing law firms.I have all my shares in paper certificates lesson learned cant get thru to brokers fast enough to sell my shares so another few years to recover yet again., then I will sell at least half and keep half electronically so I can sell quicker myself. I was expectring a 10% drop this morning and unfortunately I was right , I should listen to myself more often the writing was on the wall weeks ago. sold half my lloyds recently think will do the same with rio before she gets hit .

I certainly hope you are right clogs at 1% ? this is a perfect storm for shorters ! .I have waited years to get at break even and now this gravy train nonsense is allowed to continue , at the end of the day no lawyer in my experience gives a monkey about justice, right and wrong, guilty or not guilty its just how large their legal fees and costs can be that matters, the longer they can drag anything out at court the better. Tomorrow will tell .

I have raised this point on the GSK Board but it me or do US judges, lawyers and Ambulance chasers always pick on foreign companies mainly to suck dry with their fraudulent and excessive claims ?.Rio is now going to get hit by a US law firm with class actions, , GSK are fighting 70k questionable claims brought by US lawyers its BP ground hogg day all over. Do Blue chip companies roll over too any fraudulent claims to protect company reputation and share price or fight for years and years which hangs on the share price as well. Share holders cant win either way and the lawyers win what ever . After its last £30Billion hit by ambulance chasers Lloyds and other lenders are being had over again by legal firms claiming car buyers did not read or know what interest rates they were signing up to in their loans etc etc its laughable if it wasn't so serious to the SP. I agree there must be some people who rightly should have a claim against RIO and any other company but the massive industrial scale class action witch hunts which are being allowed by courts to make £billions pounds for law firms must and should be stopped .If you promise people free money they will agree to play the fraudulent games of these law firms. Its hard enough to make money investing in shares without having to second guess what alleged scandal and class actions the law firms will make up next against any potential companys you have shares in. Perhaps it makes more economic sense just to invest in Ambulance chasing law firms ?

the only reason i can think this share is going down is all the hype over the budget and extra tax on vapes ?. when one thinks the uk market is only a fraction of the world market and that proper ***s are still imb main business it still does not make any sense and bat has not been hit as hard as imb. mind you i have held shares for 20 years that have fallen on good results and for no logical reason other than shorting which is why i never understand why that speculative practice is even allowed on the uk markets ?i do think its quite funny also how the torys announced they were going to follow the virtuous ex nz prime minsters wok action to raise the legal smoking age which was going to be impossible to enforce. now the nz people have had the chance to tell their new gov where to stick the un workable wok idea and its all being dropped . thatcher had many many faults but she must be turning in her grave looking at the 21st century nanny hand outs for nothing tory state .

From my experience any FTSE shares held in person on good old fashioned paper certificates has always paid direct into my Bank account on the divi payment date no problem ! . Any shares I have held like LGEN,RIO IMB etc held on platforms like Halifax share dealing always take up to 3 working days to pay you out into your bank account. I believe its written in their rules, in a nut shell they always make money out of your dividends by investing it short term for themselves just like banks do with your cash.If you want a quick pay out always hold paper share certificates , if you want to deal constantly with low dealing fees and quick buys and sells then places like Halifax share dealing are good places to be, although you have to be very very patient waiting for your dividends ..

This is a big fall and surprising considering how close we are to ex dividend on the 17th, normally goes other way .All my fault for topping up sorry guys. Dollar is a factor all my Dollar divi stocks like GSK etc have tumbled but as usual shares seem to tumble big time on not a lot of bad or related news and only trickle up on good news.We will prob get hit again on ex divi.Well at least the divi here is worth having .

Am I the only one that tired of the constant negative influence the USA has on GSK and other UK companies ..Whether its drug reviews , drug controls/bans , legal action by fire chasing US lawyers etc etc etc GSK is constantly on the back foot and being held back .I have never thought there ever was a special relationship with the USA ! its America first always in Pharma and any other industry UK companies are inolved in with the USA.Its about time the UK stands up to the USA , look at Covid , look at how BP got taken to the cleaners big time years ago and it s the same with the tabacco industry america first always they support the US industries we let ours flounder and get sued by no win no fee lawyers out for a fast Buck and our SP sufferes big time. . Good update mind you its like GSK any good news makes little change anything bad the share drops like a brick !.

Mind you I do think Pfizer from today can offload shares so the dip is no surprise.

Is today not the day Pfizer can start offloading their share in Haleon ?.If she stays in positive territory that would be good news going forward .Some indication re dividends would be nice also .

Topped up again she has legs this share , hopefully she wont crash now ive bought more, was reading the wok green brigade and fund mgrs have lost faith in wok green stocks and funds and are turning to sin stocks again to get some profit and dividends.Fingers crossed Hammond does not screw things up for share holders in budget.
