To close a short......you need to buy the shares.....then transfer same ( sale equiv) to original lender

Taffy......it would be unusual for a fund to hold more than 1 or 2% of its funds in a Small Company like Synairgen. Probably set at 1 %. Hence at the end of a Qtr where stock price has gone up......they will sell the stock down to their set %.

Driftwood.....but it still enters the body through the respiratory pathways......and this is where SNG001 will help

Remember SNG001 is an agnostic antiviral......meaning it should be affective against all lung/ bronchial/pharyngeal/nasal viral infections

It will be a 3rd party who monitor and produce the results which lead to the 'Top line data'.
Top line data is not the conclusion, not unlike top line for Accounts which show Gross takings for a business, it is actually the bottom line profits which is most important. The conclusions come after this .
All this will take time.....needs to be audited by another 3rd party.....etcetc. Hence the time...Its not in Synairgen's hands.

Asthma trial was run by Astra, not Synairgen........and their choice of patients were not careful enough. It was found later that many of the patients had a bacterial infection ( which needs antibiotics) not a viral infection ( which would have responded to antivirals, such as SNG001). When the results were revamped by Synairgen later to include only the viral infections, they showed considerable efficacy.
COPD......this trial was stopped when the covid pandemic was announced. This is normal and very ethical, because many of those on the trial were highly vulnerable to Covid and were not to be encouraged to attend appointments in hospital or continue their stays in hospital and unfortunately many did still catch covid and die/became very sick. This would clearly have distorted the future results. Additionally, when on a trial, the patients are denied further , possibly life saving , drugs.

.....however I was all in prior to Manic Monday........bought a woodland with salmon fishing in August.......since bought another home........and a AM Vanquish.
Lucky I suppose, but I have been a shareholder since 2014.........and went all in when Covid appeared as a threat, buying many at 12p in Jan 2020.
I still have a lot of shares, am still all in, although........risks are low.....as they owe me nothing.
With knowledge and a science/medical background and a little bravery......dreams do come true.

But can either of you explain to me how their profit margin is secured. The Iqai BB are imagining a huge potential just from LA.
However it occurs to me that this figure is simply the potential saving to the Hospital........saving in the cost of labour in the radiology team.
If the hosp rents the software......there is a potential of a small income per patient.....but the RNS states a purchase.....which surely indicates an all out sale. It would then be a profit margin on the sale and an annual licence.
Perhaps I am wrong?

Modpod........yes, this is something we have known for a while. Dexamethasone is only used on sicker patients.
JSP....this too is correct. SNG works well with Steroids.
All aligning well.....as SNG seems to be most effective, for a rare and expensive drug, on the breathless sicker patients too. One can see SNG and DeX being used in tandem.

Woody.....IF those figures from LSE are accurate.....there must be a background buyer.
