Yes study is double blind placebo.
But it is possible that staff outside trial constraints......who do have their own chat lines.....can discuss Synairgen.
Keeping figures simple.......if doctors have been expecting10% of hospitalised Covid patients to end up in Intensive Care and if such progression is shown to be predictable.
In 100 patients from Hospital admission you would expect 10 to unfortunately progress.
If only 5 progress.....suggests that these are the placebos....and drug has prevented progression.
Very illustrative of course, stats made easy.....for such. DYOR.
So double blind in a group of c100 patients in the hospital environment, at a time of pandemic, cannot prevent chat lines

There has been a new outbreak of a SARs like coronavirus in Saudi Arabia since May.
This sounds similar.
SARs has been more ‘deadly’, once infected, than Covid 19, but so far has proved less contagious, so has been easier to contain.
Lets hope it stays that way.

Reviewing dates for results.....am I right to believe......?
26th May SNG confirm 3 sets of results to be expected......in the order COPD, Covid hospital, and Covid home.
28th May SNG confirm last patient doses. Tx 2 weeks.
On interview RM confirms same time next month, 24th July ish, for Covid hospital results. This gives them 6 weeks to analyse results.
26th May COPD unbounded......add 6 weeks......8-9th July......any moment.

Heid...yes I saw that earlier this week. It must be good news. The only people who request drugs are Prescribing Doctors and nurses. The people treating Covid patients. Maybe they have a good sense that this drug is effective.
