Hi Guys.....on 22nd June 2020 the UK government passed a bill to ban foreign takeovers of UK pharma and biotechs that were critical for public health.
.....however a few on this Board believed this would not include SNG
......however, since results I believe we are included
.....personally, i think Astra, as a result are the best bet......and the 2 companies are already well known to each other

Parsley......SNG001 has been around for 15+ years. Its not a new drug.....and has been proven safe.
The recent hosp trial was simply to show efficacy against Covid 19...... which it did.

Miggy....'honest medical advice' is always offered with due care and forethought, usually with experience. In the case of Covid there was little experience as Covid behaves uniquely.
Manslaughter involves an action without due care, attention and forethought.
There is a difference.....
There have been, of course, bad doctors and nurses.....all sectors of society have the odd 'bad apple's. But those charged successfully were shown not to give honest medical advice....

Miggy......the frontline NHS doctors and nurses are shocked and very upset by your opinion. They deal with life and death decisions many times a day......even without Covid......it is very difficult. If 'manslaughter' is to be considered following honest medical advice.......I rather suspect.....by the time of the 2nd wave.....we will have no doctors or nurses left.....they will all have resigned.....sad but true.....In our honest opinion

Miggy......if you think Doctors intentionally discharged patients with Covid back into nursing/residential homes.....then you have clearly lost your faith in human nature.....,such stories are just heresay....imho

At the time we didn’t know the incubation time, ‘infectors’ while being symptom free or fully understand this new virus in so many ways, but did know that the hospitals would become ‘endemic’ with Covid19 from the Italian experience .....with staff and resident patients dying on mass. There had been no ‘nursing/residential home’ facts released yet from China/Italy.
There were no treatments for these guys.....so it was considered safer to send them into isolation rooms for 7 days at nursing homes. There still were not enough ‘testing kits’.
Yes mistakes were made, but nearly 70% of residential/nursing homes have remained Covid free......and the process is considered to have saved very many lives.
Although with ‘hindsight’ it could have been better.......It is also suggesting that most Covid outbreaks in these homes......was introduced by staff.....not by patients/residents.

Yes the total deaths is high and getting higher
But the death ‘rate’ of those infected is lower than expected.
This could be cos of many reasons which include
Time lag
Higher testing
or Age of those infected.....younger having more complete immune response.....in Southern States.....this seems to be the caae

....present USA death rates being lower...... may also be ......that the increased infection in the Southern States.....has been largely in the young population ignoring advice. This of course does not ensure that the spread does not later expand into the oldies.....as it indeed did in Europe.....as the youngsters transmit it into the Residential Nursing Homes.....as visiting staff and relatives....

Looks if Brussels and Belgium maybe heading back into lockdown.......infections spiralling.....EC headquarters.
