Now we have the site permit and if/when the funds arrive, what are the next steps from here? By that I mean are there any more hoops we need to jump through with the Irish govt before drilling can begin? Any more permits to be issued?

Strange reaction today - given the SP was almost 3p earlier this year on no permit. I admit that until the funds are received the market is pricing in failure, but I'd have thought there's far more likelihood of funds now we have the permit.

I just clicked on my shortcut to the Exola application on the DCCAE website, it didn't work - said 'page not found' and it looks like the Exola page has been moved from the Current Consultations into Ministerial Decisions section. The page itself however doesn't say anything new, but hopefully will be updated soon.

Urraca, strange I thought they'd definitely RNS the permit. Anyway, we shall see.

The stock is again trading below the value of the Polymetal shares the company holds. Everything else is being valued at 0.

What would the best result be - RNS tomorrow morning with permit, followed by funds RNS Monday morning, or other way round?

Not fussy but i reckon funds tomorrow, permit Monday, would result in more excitement over the weekend....

To anyone new to this chain, note that the share price is largely underpinned by the c.£15m of shares the company holds in Polymetal. The OVB share price hasn't priced these in at fair value in over the last couple of years. It looks like the rise in gold has helped this correction.

I also agree that people lie through their teeth on these boards. If only investing was affected but accurate sentiment. But there seem to be so many other factors at play.

To be fair, you should never believe anyone who says an RNS is coming. How would they even know, unless they're privy to inside information? In which case they'd be pretty stupid to post it on a bulletin board of all places.

Whether an RNS comes or not, anyone who knows anything about this share knows it's been massively undervalued for the last few years.

The company has £15-20m in cash and realisible assets (including £15m in Polymetal shares). The SP today is actually just a more accurate reflection of the true value of the company. So no it's not a pump at all. It's gone from being undervalued to fair valued.

SP seems to have held up above 6p fairly well since Monday.

It strikes me that while the local gov't have thrown their toys out of the pram for not having a slice of the action, it's not in their best interests to halt the drilling indefinitely, so I'm sure a solution will be found.

Even with this delay, it's good to know MATD is somewhat hedged by the other drilling activities going on. If this was our only well then it wouldn't be ideal, but if another of those wells comes in...

The fact that EOG have been granted today sounds like a full endorsement that the irish gov't hasn't given up on oil & gas exploration - otherwise why would they have granted it. Given that our permit has been signed off in the past, it would be extraordinary not to receive it.

Looks like we've hit a day high of 22.5p to finish, what a result.

OVB has 1,405,000 shares in Polymetal, which at today's price of £10 are worth just over £14m.

So, even on that alone at today's current SP of 18p the market cap is valuing the company at its POLY holding and nothing else...
