Agreed, aside from small scale top slicing, today would seem a strange time to sell out based on the fundamentals coming through. Even when offices reopen it looks like it's going to be on a rotation basis, so there'll still be plenty of virtual meetings

To some extent the increase in revenues may have been built into the rise from the 50s to 120s, hence some profit taking today. But given raised future expectations from here, I'd have thought the SP should continue upwards until the next board update. Surely the direction of this has to be north not south.

What do others think?

These figures are for the first four months of the year but really remote working only started in earnest in March. So the improved figures are driven mainly by March and April I'm guessing and shows what a difference only two months can make. Bodes well for May and June.

SpotOn just invested £300k through the placing and committed to another £200k within 6 weeks of that placing RNS in early April. Now they have skin in the game. Already more than APEC who failed to deliver even that elusive first payment.

Bodes well for the months ahead. SpotOn wouldn't have stumped up their cash to just keep the lights on/pay for PVR redundancies.

Looks like we are seeing that upside today. This has been very quiet the last few weeks. Remember this was almost 3p last year on proposed drilling. If the SpotOn farmout goes ahead this is ridiculously cheap.

While I wouldn't go so far as to call PVR a sleeping giant (although Barryroe may be..let's see), the response to the recent funding was fairly muted, and I always expected this to wake up at some point. Same with LOGP. Interesting to see what happens from here.

There are plenty of uncertainties out there, but to a large extent these were priced into the SP before last night's announcement.

Bottom line is this redundancies announcement now means shareholders know their future dividends won't be paying the salaries of these staff in question. It's not pleasant for those staff involved. But for investors it clears the uncertainty and provides some clarity. Markets don't like uncertainty and this has just cleared one out of the way.

When the APEC exclusivity was announced at the end of December 2017 the SP headed to 2p. Now we know what happened there but it shows this can move on news. Third time lucky with a farmout?

If/when FID comes through BLVN will receive cash 3x its current market cap.
Market cap today essentially values BLVN at its cash in the bank and nothing else.

Thanks Peter, v helpful. When to sell is a hard one. My personal view is I tend to sell out of stocks too early when they're doing well, so I'm trying to exercise patience. To give you an example (totally different to this company) I invested in London stock exchange in about 2010 for c.600p. I got bored after a couple of years and sold for maybe 10%. Now it's over 8000p...
now, I'm not saying I would have held it for 10 years, but YGEN seems to be the sort of company where everything is stacking up and a bit of patience might pay off...

Even the positive news of the fund raise has done little for the SP - we're now back at the same level as before it was announced. All that's really going to get the SP moving is news that drilling is going ahead. That said news of any farmout partner could send this back to 2p+ territory, PVR probably 10p.

Share price predictions are only so helpful but has anyone seen anything sensible? Before the illumina litigation we were around 30p although I know there have been share issues since then etc. My average is 10p but I have no intention of selling out as it feels like we're on the cusp of growth and the company will benefit from the behind the scenes work of the last 3 years.

Good to see a 6 month time frame put on the farmout. I wonder how much that's driven by levels of interest being shown. One thing I never liked about the APEC farmout was the lack of cash up front. Would be good to see one where LOGP and PVR receive some £ for a share of barryroe

At this rate HUR will be valued at only its cash in the bank, nothing for its oil assets, extraordinary really. And you have other oilers on AIM bagging on the prospect of elusive farmouts that never come to fruition (although even that's rare these days)

And who is actually selling? Surely everyone is underwater by a long way. I don't know the % of shorters but can they really have this much control

This is being pummeled as are other oil stocks e.g. HUR. Not pleasant watching. Even companies with potentially good long term prospects are very easy places to lose money. Impossible to call the top to sell out, impossible to call the bottom to top up. It's as long ago as 2010 that I remember oil stocks on AIM didn't have this pervading sense of negativity about them almost all the time.

And that doesn't take into account the c.£8m proceeds from the company's sale of POLY shares during the last 6 months. Presumably some of that's been used for working capital purposes but still we're valued at probably 30% less than our cash and POLY shares. Which means the actual business is being valued at 0.
