Although Covid has been tough for many people, those who have kept jobs this year and saved money will be looking to treat themselves at Christmas - this has always been my belief. Some companies will still be paying year-end bonuses and with limited opportunity to spend money on e.g. holidays the watch industry I suspect will benefit

This is a waiting game but when JOG moves it moves fast. Any material news could see a hefty rerate. It's worth being patient

This is nothing like Xcite. XEL had c.£200m of bonds running to maturity and they couldn't renegotiate them with the bondholders or raise the capital to pay them off. It was a ticking timebomb. A farmin partner with deep pockets could have helped but never materialised. Yes PVR is seeking a farmout too but there's no overhanding bond repayment - very different set of circumstances.

Well obviously there's a pandemic and potential recession. But that's not exclusive to JOG is it. This has dropped 50% while others subject to the same macro circumstances haven't.

there's certainly been increased twitter activity since mid-Oct. You'd hope the company wouldn't do this if news wasn't imminent.

Horrible wider market today. There isn't really any other reason why this should be down 6%.

...At these levels. Funded till end of 2021, and this has dropped from highs of 160p a few months ago for no real reason. These seem very cheap today.

The only small chink of light at the end of the tunnel is: BLVN's market cap today is £11m for their % ownership of the field, yet they farmed out the same % for $200m a few years ago. So if FID ever happens, a decent rerate should be on the cards.

Rocklawn, yes that's probably the difference, whether we're looking at the value of BROE as a whole (of which LOGP owns 1/5) or LOGP/PVR in respect of one another i.e. 1:4.

The SP of PVR and LOGP move in tandem, but not exactly. A few weeks ago PVR had a good rise and LOGP lagged a few days - this may be why it has caught up recently. Now that the companies are only really focusing on Barryroe there's more reason for the share prices to be aligned. Not like a few years ago when PVR had the deep exploration assets in its portfolio. Even if LOGP does get taken out for a premium i suspect it wouldn't take long for PVR's SP to match it

IRL's correct - I was talking about LOGP's SP in comparison to PVR's, owning 20% : 80% of barryroe respectively. So if PVR's market cap is £80m, LOGP's should theoretically be £20m or thereabouts.

Interested to hear others thoughts on which is a better investment. I currently hold both - slightly more LOGP than PVR.

With PVR owning 80% of barryroe at the moment and LOGP 20%, there's an assumption that LOGP's SP should be a quarter of PVR's. At present it's slightly less than that. It doesn't look like there's much value in either company's other asset(s).

Given its smaller size there's potentially more chance that LOGP could get taken out.
