It would be ludicrous for the company to place at 2p - the lowest price of the last couple of years - when the exploitation licence is hopefully round the corner and the SP will be much higher. In any case, we've been told the company doesn't need cash for another few months, to raise funds now would make zero sense.
There was also never any indication that in order for the exploitation licence to be granted MATD needed a certain level of capital or funding. So for anyone reading that and believing it, I suggest looking at the RNS history instead!

Based on past rises, i wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow's rise is bigger. It tends to be this has one sudden medium hike and people jump in off the back of it expecting news, generating a much higher one subsequently. I know that's kind of stating the obvious with AIM stocks, but i've noticed it much more with OVB, hence the very quick rise to 30p last year

A couple of years ago I held two gold companies, one of which was POG. I sold POG at about 7p to invest in the other company fully. It's performed similarly to POG but it's listed in Australia and I'm thinking of coming back to POG.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on where this is going, what a realistic SP is. This looks like it's slightly outperformed other gold companies. Is that the result of all the legacy problems being solved and the re-capitalization from a few years ago coming to plan? thanks

I've been holding these for years and even down at 7p i couldn't bring myself to average down - because it's such a binery bet. If all goes well, it will get back to 50p+ regardless, but if there permits aren't granted it will be worthless. It's too easy to throw good money after bad on AIM. Hindsight is clearly nice to have and I'm wishing i bought a few at 7p! Still, it felt like the correct approach.

Impossible to predict but remember the markets are forward looking. So when august comes, the question will be what's happening in 3, 6, 9, 12 months and so on. What happens in between is impossible to determine.

The two main questions that mattered for me investing in IAG were: will planes take to the skies again (i.e. anything has to be better than Q2 2020) and does IAG have enough liquidity to survive till then?

If the answer's yes, what happens in between matters less. And even if future travel is reduced, it's still bound to be more than Q2. If it's not, there are bigger things to worry about that IAG.

this was 6p pre-covid, 10p last year pre-delays to FID. The rise today is catching up with other oil exploration companies that have done this the last couple of weeks.

increases in the oil price might not impact the SP in the same way as it does producers, but a higher POO makes the development more attractive therefore more likely to happen, and sooner. The key here is getting to FID, which will double the market cap in cash alone, with nothing being valued for etinde.

Quite a lot of AIM stocks that dropped as a result of Covid, but aren't directly impacted by Covid (i.e. not the likes of airlines or travel companies) are starting to recover/rerate - quite big daily movements.

Wonder if BCN can do the same, as the long term prospects are still the same as they were pre-Covid.

...of the FEVR of old, nice steady rises every day. If lockdowns continue to ease then hopefully a summer period with signs of increased US sales will bode well for the rest of 2020.

Remember the money being invested by Spot on is in the secondary market, so it doesn't go to the PVR coffers. This is different to the APEC funds that were intended for PVR's balance sheet. It would be nice to happen to prop up the SP, but not getting it on time won't actually hinder PVR at all or its operations.

In my mind, the crucial thing was the £300k SpotOn invested in the placing a few weeks ago, because that did go to PVR's balance sheet.

Have had my eye on BPC for a while but never invested until now. The drop from the 4-5p region caused by Covid seems like a significant buying opportunity, especially now drilling seems back on track

More than anything I read this as a very badly worded RNS. It should have started and read "BOPD guidance revised from 18,000 to 17,000" and set the tone from there, maybe included something to say the water level has remained consistent and not increased. That's only a 6% difference in BOPD for the year.
Instead, we have to deal with a drop of +40%.
I still believe HUR will turn out for the good in the long term, but the way it gets crucified by the market at any opportunity isn't fun.

..is when it moves it really gets its skates on. Went from 50p to 200p really very quickly last year. Happy topping up at these levels.

Stock market is forward looking, economic data is backward looking. We know April data will be terrible, this is already priced into the SP.

On the basis we are coming out of lockdown (slowly) not going into it, the forward looking data will have to pick up. If it doesn't, the airline industry is doomed for good, in which case there will be plenty of casualties before IAG. And then we all have much bigger problems to worry about. But I don't think that will happen.

I also suspect people will start flying before a vaccine is created. Plenty of people are already talking about when they can book flights.
