So can we take it that an increase in market share, ahead of market expectations, does not impress? How about an expansion of export sales, one of them just about to begin selling as their stock has recently arrived. The prospect of further growth created by these actions, allied with other initiatives identified as a use of part of the placing funds, pale in to insignificance when set against some vague notions about the management. Companies come to the AIM market to attract funding for growth, fact. Why do folks see that as bad?

I think it would be a good idea to wait and see actual figures first, because the same golks were saying the same thing before the previous update, which actually showed an increase in GP, not a decrease. Increased production utilisation bas benefits of scale, until capacity is exceeded, then further investment is called for, similarly for logistics, and admin, and staffing etc etc. If the GP has remained the same, or risen, will an apology be in order? As I said, I could write down the exact reason why funding is required for a growing business, it would take a while to wrote, and to read, and wouldnt make a scrap of difference to the pret set prejudice written here. SiS is on a growth path, the institutions can see that. Perhaps today's buying is them buying in the open market what they couldnt get at the placing price.

I will only write this once, not getting in a row about ot, but I could see several multiples over 3/5 yrs, but that is only IMOHO, and everyone selse whould make thier own judgement.

Well it has been written here several times that growing businesses need money. I could go in to a lot of detail as I have before, but you wont read it, so you wont or cant understand. Oversubscribed ehh? Institutional holders ehh? And you lot think this is bad? Grwoth needs funding, over budget growth needs more funding. Thats business fact, simple as that. Sell if you like, not me though.

So, Pukkers is spreading his wings is he. Hardly a credible story, so fair to assume some kind of paid disrupter. These boards are the pits at times.

Well look, there is truth in the fact that I do point this out from time to time. Aince the matter was notified by RNS as something that could have an impact on the company, it is logical to assume that it would also have been notified had it been settled. As I see it, Mr Bert came to an agreement with these investors, and the investors want their money back according to the terms of the agreement. If they win the legal battle then it could result in him having to sell his holding. That is fact drawn from the RNS. Two courses of action. 1/ Pretend it isnt there. 2/ Bear it in mind as a risk, and discuss from time to time. Obviously I follow path 2 I have made nothing up, I havent built my own story around the facts, and I most certainly would never abuse these boards by making persinal attacks on the CEO based on zero evidence, as has indeed been done elsewhere by other posters. Clearly there is upside, and equally there is downside, and realistically a balanced argument should recognise both.

That isnt the unresolved bit though is it? Sorry, but if it remains as a threat of legal action I see it as a real and present risk. I have tried to remain quiet about it while I hold so few here, but you know the reason I feel I can not any longer. ATB

In December 2010, Acta completed the sale of ten photovoltaic authorisations at a value of €2.45 million to a group of Italian investors through Auditors Italiana S.r.l. and Ingefin S.r.l., two Italian investment companies (the "Investment Companies"). This sale was completed and paid in full in cash in December 2010. After an initial provision in the audited results for the year ended 31 December 2010, the revenue and cash proceeds of this sale were recognised in Acta's Interim accounts to June 2011. At the time of the sale Acta was itself planning to build, own and operate a portfolio of photovoltaic projects if it could raise the additional capital needed. In order that Acta would have access to a sufficiently large portfolio of photovoltaic consents for own development, Acta obtained a call option (the "Call Option") under a separate agreement to repurchase the authorisations from the Investment Companies during the period up to April 2011, at Acta's sole discretion, if it should choose to do so. Due to the subsequent upheavals in the Italian photovoltaic sector Acta was unable to finance and implement this strategy and the option was therefore allowed to lapse. In granting the Call Option to Acta, the Investment Companies relied upon a separate agreement with Bertam S.r.l. ("Bertam"), a company controlled by Paolo Bert, Acta's CEO and 35.3% shareholder in Acta, under which Bertam agreed to purchase any projects that were not built by the Investment Companies or repurchased by Acta under its Call Option. This agreement that Bertam entered into was in order that Bertam could itself build out the projects if Acta did not proceed to do so. This was not disclosed at the time. Has this been resolved?

You seem very keen to discuss the actions of CEO's of other companies. How about disussing something much closer to home? It's all there on RNS to prove it exists, and is unresolved.

They keep raising the Bid, very small spread now. The Ask has to move soon or it eill be overtaken :-))

Few more in this year's ISA, maybe add some more in the new one. I anticipate increases in divis in the medium term will make a great return on today's sp, plus of course any capital appreciation, which could be substantial. Win win. IMHO

Profit before tax up, dividend up, debts paid down. Is it me? These results are strong, and, judging by the comment for the current year, we can look forward to better in future. Very surprised to see this market reaction.

Very encouraging day, they tried to get a few sells, but I doubt they will succeed, the sp would need to rise substantially for holders to see true value here IMHO

Yes it was. Even better when I bought the bulk of mine, happy bunny now. I hesitate to speculate on those sort of bigger buys, I know others have mentioned over the years that this would be a bargain level for M&A activity. I am open minded about it, but seeing a big increase in trading activity, and some chinky buys, does tend to focus the mind a bit more. Been a great week, hope for more of the same next week. ATB

Just who has £36 grand to throw at this? That is a serious buy, and the buyer is obvioulst undeterred by the recent strong rise. A good sign IMVHO
