Auson, Agree that it's stacked against you. I prefer to SB on stocks rather than indices as the latter can wipe you out very quickly unless your stop is far away. I'm long PMO on a SB at the moment. Timing is critical, as is a dash of luck, and knowing when to close out of a position!!
Indeed - it's all about timeframes. Holding 4% he must be confident, although I doubt he'd be too troubled by a loss. I just took a look on the PANR board and he seems to think that a large buyer is about to emerge - presumably someone other than himself! Maybe DBNO.... :)
"must be crying at his excellent PANR investment decision lol. Well, I'll give him some credit - at least he didn't load up with 10m of them like some; each to their own."
Wasn't it that Stephen 'Beecham' character who took his profit from here and piled into PANR at 22p?
Quarterly reports are not written on the day they are published, so any figures mentioned are probably a couple of weeks old at least. IR should be able to answer your questions.
Geo, It's probably better that such a drop happens in one quick burst rather than drawn out over many days/weeks. That way it might have less impact on the share price, as it should hopefully bounce back a bit.
