daitom - not sure about that - the volumes are really pretty small so far today - only 3 trades over 50K in size and only about 600K total in shares traded. Any large buys may have a large impact now.

It does not make sense if it puts a multi-year collaboration with the industry lead UET in jeopardy. Having seen all the VRFB manufacturers present at the International Flow Battery Forum I can state with some confidence that I think that UET is the most mature of all of them. Plus remember Mikhail stated in the EnergyStorage 101 webinare that they plan to make both classic single acid electrolyte AND mixed acids electrolyte

Indeed Sanchez - they are no doubt fixated on the RSP market trying to figure out if they need to get out now or not.

993444 - Fortune and Mikhail clearly don't have the ambition to own everything in the market - they've already outlined 5 ways in which Bushveld Energy can participate in the overall VRFB sector and, I think wisely, want to see the whole sector grow, not just their fraction of it. I think that shows a very mature positioning which I would much rather see than Musk-like posing.

So the only real question now is what is the 170Million USD investment over the next 3 years going to be used for ?

1) Increasing production from 3750 to 10,000 tpa -

a) we are told that $100Million would be needed for a second kiln (at Vametco presumably) - this would also presumably imply the ramping up of ore extraction from Brits so that a balanced RoM feed can be supplied to both production lines.

b) the long standing suggestion that we purchase Vanchem and train (presumably magnetic concentrate) there for processing. This would still require grinding and magnetic separation at Vametco, and would probably also require the opening up of the Brits pits

2) Building and expansion of electrolyte plant - initially 200MWh then 1000MWh electrolyte capacity. We are told that this would use modified Vanadium Oxide from the Vametco production line so is already considered as part of an overall integrated Vametco/Electrolyte production process (i.e. you couldn't assume that you could just drop Vanchem straight into that production). I estimate on the back of an envelope that $20-30M would allow you to build all that you would need for 1GWh electrolyte plant, plus hire the scientists and chemical engineers to run it.

On the basis of 2 I think that 1a is preferable but others may have their own points of view it would be worth hearing.

It is going to happen and it is going to help treble production of Vanadium, just at the point that we need it for the Eskom 1440 MWh BESS projects to potentially come onstream.

I am purely guessing but I suspect that 100M shares might be listed in the JSX flotation - to yield something like $60M for less than 10% dilution of current shareholders. Add in this year's profits from Vametco and you are already getting pretty close to the $170M figure proposed to be invested over the next 3 years,
