775K Buys, 327K Sells so far - 446K more Buys than Sells.

Uksteveg - if the Market Maker allows them to stop 80% of the way through their trade then the MM will report a large Sell and the original holder will official pass the threshold on that date. The seller has no idea when the MM will actually have sold on the shares to new PI's a sufficient number to pass any thresholds. As we are seeing right now there can be significant time in between one and the other.

Yachty - I think that the conservative 87p figure from SP Angel is not too far out. Once the JSE listing and dividend policy is out it should be over £1. If BE wins a significant fraction of the Eskom 1440MWh project you can add £1 to that. Imaloto or Brits/Mokopane expansion I haven't considered.

525K Buys, 256K Sells - 268K more Buys than Sells - so still on track for selling what I think they want to.

Sells have dried up. There's nobody churning T20's to stiff. If buys pick up the price may increase, if not then perhaps expect some sale giveways to stimulate the buying they need.

zeus - I used to think that there should be a sell needed to produce a tick down in Bid. I don't any more.

Jaga - The rate is determined from the experimentally measured imbalance between Buys and Sells. The shares to have to come from somewhere, at some point, they cannot be magic'ed out of thin air and do not grow on trees, so for all the excess of Buys from Market Makers there will have to be an excess of a similar amount of Sells to them at some point in time.

They would not have risked selling shares that they do not have (i.e. going short) unless they had a large seller lined up or already being tapped. Joe Public will only be allowed to see what has happened when it has already happened.

mywineman - yes eternal knowledge of the truth on the winner's part, plus financial gain for everyone that can see what is going on here, and has cash to convert to shares.

Jagadish - yep you have pretty much got it right - the MMs are working a large seller in the background and don't need to publish the sell (to themselves) until they are finished. Looks like they are trying to shift 500K-600K per day. It's just like Erongo, and indeed just like Erongo are no longer publishing the balancing Sells in 250K blocks. Why - because they know we are watching.

Basil - I am planning a long article on this in the next 3 months but am not ready just yet. The basic point is that of all the chemistry the Vanadium one is the only one that has the same electrolyte on both sides of the battery - and therefore is immune to the long term deleterious effects of diffusion across the power cell membranes.

Tyfoon - no the share ownership of BMN has nothing to do with the Vametco BEE requirements. Jaxson don't hold shares in BMN, they hold them in Vametco
