somtam - of course the suggestion that you would want to leave dividends inside the ISA wrapper to increase your effective ISA contribution above the yearly limit is made on the assumption that you are in a sufficiently comfortable financial position to be able to put in the yearly limit in the first place. If you aren't then I think it makes no difference leaving the dividends in or not. If you leave them inside then you can make a lower yearly contribution into the ISA.
At some point though, unless you are saving for others, you will want to take some value out of your ISA, and you may be near that point.
