sharesaplenty - there are dozen of stone-coal/black shale resources already in China - they only get turned on at Vanadium prices over $60/KgV. Ask yourself why all of the major primary Vanadium producers (Largo, Vametco, Rhovan) are based upon Vanadium-Titanomagnetite ores and processing routes.

We have been here many times before - new entrants claiming to have massive new Vanadium resources - Aura Energy, King River Copper etc and a new world-beating process to extract it at virtually no cost - "heap-leach" is often mentioned. Yet none of these have ever happened. Ask yourself why and what evidence exists to backup the claims made by FAR and their CEO who is soon to be released to sell off his shares so that he can pay for his ex-wife.

Not at all Daisydog - I too bought at 48p+, but then again I have not been beating myself up about not being able to predict the mid-term future.

As far as the long term future is concerned I am still happy with that purchase as I think in time we'll be seeing 48p as a good entry price.

Daisydog - only if you have subsequently sold. If you are really beating yourself up for not being able to buy at a lower price earlier then 1) you either have to ask yourself why you didn't discover Bushveld earlier (perhaps get up in the morning earlier) or 2) if you did why didn't you invest earlier like others clearly did. I'm sorry but like much of life you get back what you put in.

Conman - it's nice to know but the real story is the size of the mine that will be operating, in time. Uis has the ability to become the world's largest hard-rock tin mine for the second time in its life, and this time it will be producing Tantalum and Lithium.

The Professors Viljoen will have known all about Uis, about how the decline of the Internation Tin Association led to its closing and just how much more important Tantalum and especially Lithium are these days. Does anyone think that Morris Viljoen will have told his nephew Anthony about this ? or perhaps it was Richard Viljoen who may have told his son, Anthony.

clark - FAR is not a great company. If it had any chance of success after 10 years of trying it would be processing its own 'special' ore not processing other people's vanadium-rich waste.

Clark - they must have put a reasonable amount of effort in but still nowhere near enough. It seems to me they were prepared to believe lock stock and barrel the claim from FAR that they can singlehandedly put ALL of Largo, Rhovan, Vametco and Vanchem out of business with a 'new' type of vanadium ore that barely needs any processing. They did not appear to understand that there are already many stone-coal/black-shale Vanadium resources in China and yet these are not switched on until Vanadium prices are over $70/kgV - surely they must have stopped for a minute to wonder why all the existing primary producers are VTM based ?

This all goes to show just how dangerous a little knowledge can be.
