There was already an after hours and delayed reported trade for 500K at 25.0p though this was time stamped about 45 minutes earlier. I suspect that this is simply shunting shares around in between the MMs. It also coincides with a very large reduction in the Vaneck REMX ETF holding of over 13M shares and may be mixed up with some of the other large trades on that day.

numpty - indeed. However there may well be South African institutions that would be very keen on buying into the company.

As was mentioned to me in the back of the bus that took us to see the Eskom battery and Vametco mine and processing plant - "what is BMN going to do if Investec wants 50M or 100M shares ?"

Do not be taken in by any 'research' that says "look at how many batteries we will need" or "these batteries only store enough energy for 5 minutes, etc" - the point about batteries is that you use them very often, simply when you need to balance supply and demand - a job that grids have had to do for the 100 years before renewables came along.

In some ways this works just like to old coin operated electricity meters we have here in this country - someone else owns the generating and local transmission infrastucture but the end user only pays a charge for the electricity used. In the case of microgrids there is no national transmission network but there is a local battery.

All these 50K sells dropped in - the shorters really fighting desperately now. Do they realise they are simply handing shares to MMs so that they can then sell them higher or do they think MMs are running a charity for underwater shorters ?
