In my time I've dealt with a number of university professors in London and the UK midlands who had similar opportunities but never manage to follow through. Cowboy investor - the only record that I have of any primary vanadium mine in China is an old mine in Qianjiaping but all the other production in china is either from Vanadium sl-a-g (i.e. Steel smelting) or stone coal secondary production.

exactly, it means that we own an asset now worth $60.6M that only cost us $55.8M in cash. That is effectively a gain of $4.8M - if this is being included in the post-tax profit figure then it is only a small amount.
