one of the most remarkable points that Gary raises is in relation to the amount of electrical energy supplied worlwide - "The World Economic Forum estimates a 14-fold increase in ten years’ time, reaching 2,600 gigawatt hours (GWh)"
This naturally includes a significant shift from fossil fuel based vehicles onto electric, plus further build out in developing countries but it still is a truly remarkable number to bear in mind. I may go hunting for the original WEF reference.
