The anticipated preparatory hearing at the Commercial Court in Poltava Oblast (the "Court") on 12 March 2024, to consider the application from LLC PCC "Kysen" ("Kysen"), (as previously announced on 11 March 2024), was postponed. I don’t think they’ll be any meaningful peace or ceasefire while Putin is alive. He’s crossed the point of no return. He’s showed he is prepared to over throw democratic governments, target civilians as a matter of policy and this is army isn’t that of a superpower. Any peace would be followed by a huge diplomatic effort to incriminate him and isolate further on the international stage (which will happen at some point anyway). His only way out may be a Trump administration.

I think Europes problem is lack of leadership. The same as the rest of the western world. 15 years ago the EU and US economies were about equal. Now the U.S. is one third larger. Why? Europe has plenty of cheap labour. No real strategy for growth or large gas and oil reserves like the U.S.

Krok whether Ukraine wins or not is entirely in the hands of the west. As if Russia could out produce 32 countries, including the U.S. in terms of armaments. The U.S. alone has over 5000 main battle tanks and 1000 F16s. At the minute the policy is obviously drip feed Ukraine with weapons to keep Russia tied up where it is. Ukriane might not be able to drive Russia out but it’s unwindable for Russia also.

Sounds about right. I think 2024 was going to be a year of resupply and the West getting their act together. I did read by the end of 2024 Ukraine will have ample ammunition in terms of bullets and artillery rounds. Russia running at 40% of GDP and 200k plus dead. NATO taking over Procurement of ammo when half NATO countries aren’t even at 2% of GDP yet doesn’t bode well for the little cretin in the Kremlin. What’s he going to do when the ammo flowing to Ukraine is constant and it hasn’t even dinted western economies? Russia has burned through all the North Korean and Iranian crap? Like Napoleon said ‘don’t interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake’.

My thoughts as well. I’m not massively convinced Q1 results will be massively positive. I think FXPO will be understandably conservative about seaboard exports. Same as they were with Q4 2023 numbers. No point in drawing to much unwanted attention.

I haven’t seen as many ships in port since before the war. I’m not sure which ones are loading FXPO product though but it must be some. Q1 results on April 8th will be in interesting to say the least. I can’t see the SP recovering until these legal issues come to a head. Surely freezing his shares from being transferred is better that ceasing his assets directly?

Interesting Silver. Maybe not such a big deal in the energy mix then. FXPO do transport a large percentage of there product by barge though. If they took the dam out then that would be negative. Plus tit for tat attacks on each other’s industry won’t be good for FXPO.

It wouldn’t surprise me if FXPO have had to shut down operations due to electricity shortages. Ukraines home grown long range capabilities are only going to improve over time. This was one of Putins reasons for Ukraine not joining NATO. If they did Moscow would be in range of NATO missiles from all directions. Well thanks to Putin it looks like it already is. It looks like he’s building up to another mobilisation. Let’s hope it doesn’t go down well at home.

Q1 results are supposed to be out 2 weeks tomorrow. About the only thing I’m optimistic about at the minute.

I could talk demographics all week Pokerchips/ Troajan. Putin is one of the few leaders in the world that actually realises the severity of the situation. Russia is essentially screwed and going to see a massive fall in population going forward. By 2050 China will have 500 million people over the age to 60 and a population falling by 15 million a year. On top of that they want to invade Taiwan. Good luck with that. The western world can offset population decline with immigration. Russia attracts immigrants from the Stans but if he starts sending them or their children to war they're not likely to keep coming. Then his smartest and richest have left, or a leaving the country. What a strategist.

True Silverspoon's, but the demographic situation in Russia is also desperate. This is something that plays on Putin's mind. He keeps saying its Russian women's duty to have large families etc. Id go as far as saying this was a factor in him wanting to take over Ukraine in the first place. Increase his population by absorbing Ukraine. More people more power.
