There was a contract placed today by Chinese importer for Aussie Coke on the basis that their restrictions would be loosened in Jan 21 according to Singapore press information - also at a higher price than Indian importers were paying - up 5% FOB. Also Futures up with first trades since June. I trust I have read it right. Maybe our Q3 is coming before the USA Election result !!!!

Cherry I think youre right but DT may actually buy Scotland - its worth s----all - and all the links with it - although they are banning free speech up there which will be interesting how they get on with that

My guess is that Tim will have a look at raising cash to sell high value properties for conversion to residential and mop up bust businesses to convert to upmarket pub/restaurant with dining out mentality near public transport facility

Hi Thanks for your comment. So will Trump get in and what will it all mean (USA) for Chinese Steel who seem to be in disarray as far as getting Premium coking coal is concerned. China certainly cannot get their act together for quality steel and it will be interesting if the welcome mat goes out to the Australians again when they realise what they can only get from Mongolia and Canada

Hi Cacher thanks. Have you identified coking coal figures and the av price and also Australian Dollar exposure comparison. I guess the net revenue may not ne too different year on year for 9m. What does it all mean and could we get our Q3 update before friday ?

Jonesy - are you saying that even with a decent Q3 update - Peel Hunt have made a decision that it is likely that the sp is more likely to go down in this new bear market than go up so they are procrastinating the buyback now with the remaining 1m + purchases ??? Appreciate your comments

Hi Jonesy. Thanks for your comments. JT stated the sp was undervalued and Q3 + Q4 should be stronger (results) than Q1 , Q2 so after Q£ update I guess they were assuming sp would go up. So why hold back before Q3 update which usually would be by end of next week. Sorry I should have asked my question better

But there arent many (big) sellers of this share so how could they complete the buyback in time if the strategy in the first place was right ? Thanks for your thoughts

Hi Cacher - I understand from knowledge of whats going on in the steel industry that China is ramping up its coking coal imports from Mongolia. India are also looking elsewhere but cant get their act together with major Indian steel mills not able to progress their expansion plans
