Yeah some people like to hold it, I see your point. We're lucky in the UK that you can get a refund on anything purchased online for, I think 14 days no quibble? People aren't fussed about £200 IMO

Nonsense. Currys are heavily advertising the OculusGo on the internet. As an owner of several VR headsets including the Go I'm very happy with the content and MVR's library is only going to get bigger. Lots of nice exclusive contracts. Good artists. Lots of free promotion. Good investment me thinks. All IMO.

Good points JS. I said before that I was worried about the quality but having got the Go this week and tried a few concerts. I'm impressed. They've got the strong foundation to build on. There are a few things they can tweak. As a drummer I noticed the microsecond lag in audio to the visual although this was only noticeable behind the drummer. Also I felt the positioning at the front of stage was a bit high and I would have liked to feel more in the crowd but thats just my taste. Doubtless many will like being at eye level with the band and I'm sure that in the future, there will be many more viewing points available. AFAIK the only thing holding back higher resolution is bandwidth available to consumers. The kit is already there to record 4k/8k it'll just take us back to dial up times of downloading! As far as the Go is concerned I actually found it more comfortable than the Rift. The Rift tends to tickle the bridge of my nose.

Arrived today. Very, very impressed with the app as I was a little sceptical. Image quality and comfort beats the Rift. The MVR app took less than a minute to download and install. The battery was low so had a chance to sample 5 of the mini concert clips including Kiss & The Who. Good experience with the different views easy to navigate. Will need to invest in a pair of headphones but I expected this. For what I use VR for, this £200 bit of kit negates the need for the Rift so I'll likely be selling it over the weekend. Waiting for the battery to recharge then going to try a full concert.

Pre-ordered mine this morning thinking I won't get it til the end of the month. Just had delivery email saying arriving on Thursday. Already have a Rift so am interested to see how it compares.

Agreed. IMO this was his best to date. Super confident things are close now.
