someone please correct me but i feel sure there is a reg preventing any significant release of news by the company for 30 days (?) after directors' share purchases. we are definitely due an update though.

quite so jogoat. and however much he tries to wriggle, of course he said '9p' and not '9p if various things don't happen'. (think he'll find that mclean has reposted his unfortunate dictum from 23 March, so not a matter of anybody's memory - it's in black and white.) so that just joins the rather long list of 'porkies'. now he amends this to '9p if not taken private before'. so he is saying 9p again? confused? i know i am. that's the trouble with porkies - they have a tendency to catch up with one. and then that old chestnut 'taken private' - really? how's that going to happen? maybe time for him to rerun the Avobone, Sun Trust and Licence renewal yarns? they do say desperate measures for desperate times but those knackered old nags always failed to get over the line for him in the past. anyway here are the running odds in the Desolation Stakes today :

so mclean if you're right (and i think you probably are) that would mean :
1. at best Afake is 'economic' with the truth
2. we're not all wrong after all
3. nor paranoid
4. he does get posts taken down

oh yeah and he did say we'd go to 9p -

good spot again mclean. think this piece is from Investors Chronicle and that is good to see - the san leon PR machine is working overtime. mind you they've got a good story to tell : how many AIM ceos just go out and write out a cheque for £20m to buy over 20% of their company? sure he knows he's getting half of it back in short order - so what a deal! shareholders should follow his lead.

indeed we have some stiff competition for podium places, TimB. we may need to wait for the egg on face race, though, before announcing a victor ludorum. Bandit's encouragement of our CEO (written just 2 weeks ago) to 'step up to the plate' and bring in fresh money saw him drop down the field but his complete failure since to acknowledge Oisin's achievements (writing out a personal cheque for £20m was a good start in my book ) has put Bandit firmly in the mix again. how exciting is that? so the vacuity challenge is turning into a bit of a marathon, with a greater number of participants than one might have imagined possible at the start. (ps. shame on bluerill for spoiling the fun with educated and informed analysis.)

am just a 2 broker man myself, humungus, so naturally in awe of your 3 broker status (in fact would really appreciate your advice on how one goes about getting a 3rd broker - imagine tricky ?). you often seem to comment that i work for san leon and, whilst i fear to contradict a person of such international investment experience (particularly one with 3 brokers) and flattering though that thought is, regrettably my professional life is far more prosaic (in fact a chimpanzee with only 1 broker, who had read just a few of my posts would surely guess it?). oh well no time to get bogged down in the detail. but it occurred to me that maybe you had projected that on me, because you had in fact worked for Oisin yourself in the past? and i think from some of your expression that you're Irish as well? yes well that figures. so am guessing things didn't work out for you, in the way they clearly have for Oisin. so sorry about that but look at you now, humungus, 3 brokers eh - who'd have thought it?

wow, bluerill, that is some buy by a CEO and by any standards. just love it. on top of what we heard in Oisin's conference interview last week, i guess that means the humungus will have to get his head around our esteemed leader receiving even more in dividends. that and the fact that Oisin's made over two mil before breakfast today!
