Eric, I don't have an issue with the discount to NAV as the mining industry is still emerging from a downtrend. Once the industry is attractive, profitable and growing I'd expect the NAV to move towards parity and even a premium.

I don't see frequent MCAP resistance in equities unless the market realises the share is overvalued and too many excited buyers have pumped the price upto unreasonable levels. Recent examples are Sirius and Randgold.

Convincingly broke its 200 EMA over the last few days and is well over the £15 round figure. Still not strongly bullish because although it's making higher lows, it recently made a lower high. There's also bearish divergence on the RSI and MACD. So, new year will tell me more about its short term direction.

Over £750k worth of sells in 4 trades at 10:28 this morning. Someone has given up. High volumes in the last 2 days, but the shares are not making a move just yet. #bearish for the time being. PS: Problem with this company is the revenues are not keeping up with the costs. When that's reversed I'll change my view.

Heading for 500p although it's a slow grind upwards. The main fundamental affecting BP, is whether OPEC can realise a cut as promised.

I think it may just have had a little pullback to 88p and now will be moving above 100p. After the push from 74p it had to experience some profit taking before the price moves on. Still bullish, but let's see what happens.

The CEO's new options package allows him 1m shares at 5p if he can manage the business so that its share price remains over 6p for 6 months. As he's just started, and if the share price stays at 7p, he will receive £20k if he exercises the 1st tier of options. An easy win for him. However, if he exercised them quickly that would send the shares down, so he'd best keep them and manage the company so it hits closer to 20p, the third tier of his options package. Then it will be Champagne all round for holders who bought at today's price. Falanx looks a speculative buy although the recent fundamental news is very good.

HGM has fallen out from it's near term and long term bullish trend channels. In the next few days though it will come up against strong resistance at the 200EMA and previous support at 118p on 18th November. I'm on the side-lines.

I thought there was more to come and today confirmed it. Time to sell.

The smart money got in here at 50p when a huge 757k shares were traded. Today's rise seems inconsistent with only 51k shares traded. Either way, it looks as if GAME's sp is going places.

Good fundamental news, but Mr Market has already marked the shares upto 43p and taken them down to 41p. Still not in an uptrend.

More than 3 times the daily average in Oct and Nov were traded today. 28m shares were bought at 3pm in two transactions. Someone's bullish.

SSE is testing 1500p with 1507p high so far today. It has been in a 6 year bull trend, and at present price is forming a symmetrical triangle. To me that illustrates consolidation, but a continuation pattern to the upside. Time will tell.

I'm not in this share and was watching it in the hope of buying. However, at the moment I can only estimate the bottom, which is zero, and therefore anyone who buys now does so at their peril. The market does not like Fairpoint at the moment and the shares price tells you all you need to know. However, if you're a trader who can spot recoveries, and phoenixes coming out of the ashes then I'd be interested to see when you think the company is going to do a reversal, as now is not the time.

A $78m Russian Property company with a $1.4bn portfolio. Struggling with Ruble depreciation and sanctions. Could it come back if Russia's relationships and economy improve from here? Not one for me, but if you like to roll the dice??

Have the fund managers recognised iron ore has risen sharply from 380 in September to 644 today. A 0.1% iron ore asset allocation should have been reconsidered.

From 193p in November 2105, this has been in a consistent downtrend leading upto today's 60% annihilation. The bad news keeps coming, which includes today's trading update with a significant performance/profit warning. 100% #bearish

Record annual daily volume today with almost all of it "sells", in 4 transactions late in the afternoon with one amounting to 11m shares. Hard to decide of EHG is bullish or bearish though. Any thoughts?

The fall in AMS is due to Trump's comments on the Healthcare and Pharma sectors. Slightly bearish for now.
