Must be a hit and miss game, trying to drill over an area that has been exploited by artisan workers. Like discovering a minefield that hadn't been mapped by the nutter who put them in the ground! Wonder if they have a strategy to get around that one? Must be frustrating to have to abandon attempts to drill down.
Cheers Laverda, that helps to aid my understanding. So, now my thoughts turn to the "initiation piece" which sounds like a wake up call or, "now it's time to take a serious look at this stock". Can it be described as a symbolic "coming of age"/ "key to the door" moment? Not expecting an answer. In fact I'm also wondering why I might be fixating on the issue as much as I am. I just can't help thinking it would be better to have one than to not!
Laverda, I decided to ask Kodal's broker as I thought they might give an inkling as to whether we might expect one, or under what circumstances. Still not sure about the validity of it all but it is another tool that investors use to aid in their decision making processes. Personally, I decide on which colour car drives by my flat and if there are more than ten of that colour in 15 minutes, I tend to go ahead and invest. But, please, do your own research! And please don't pick blue all the time or you will want to invest in everything!
Agreed Ricardo. Just look at GGP and see the hellish situation the current sp is in! Even though broker ratings are saying something completely contrary to sp movements. I do feel, however, that it does give a weather vein for what an investor might expect (but no guarantees). Still just trying to understand the circumstances behind what triggers a rating.
I'm still trying to understand the broker rating game! So, I sent the following message to the Broker for KOD:-
"I would like to ask if you could help me in understanding the nature of Broker Ratings? I am a shareholder in Kodal Minerals and have been asking on a Chat Board (London South East) if anyone could explain, at what point could a Broker Rating be made available for this stock? Nobody seems to know, so, I thought I'd ask the Broker! I would very much appreciate any guidance/information you could offer and I would be happy to share on the bulletin board to help put the matter to rest."
Lets see if I get a reply!
Agreed Laverda, If you wake if in hospital and the consultant speaks to you in a similar manner, you won't have the faintest idea what's wrong with you, unless you are in the profession. It would be more easily digested if layman's terms were used to communicate findings instead of shareholders having to Wiki their understanding. Does increase your knowledge base though. Not saying Wiki is the definitive "go to" site for everything you might want to know, but it does provide a good starting point before a deeper dive into the subject matter, if required
Not intended as a criticism Daz. I'm just not, completely, sold on the idea that charts can be viewed as a reliable source. I don't want to dampen anyone's enthusiasm for using a tool that might help to give foresight and, to be honest, I wish I could lend myself to having a level of confidence that is, obviously, shared by those who rely upon them. Please keep your observations coming.
All best wishes, AJ
Laverda, yes, I do hope Macron watches his p's and q's (or whatever the French equivalent is). It's hard for people to not speculate about what's in the ground etc. but we don't need to speculate that things are looking increasingly POSITIVE. A conservative word for "well tasty"
