Some chunky sells this morning..........
DG one of the nicest guys on here for me - no idea where this outburst has come from?!!
The credit will be drawn but not spent is my read. So available cash of 2.4m. Worth checking with investor relations if not sure but its not as bad as some are making out here.
I agree - think we'll get back close to where we started. Rest of the week will be interesting, much more to come here.
Where do you think we'll end the day Vern ?
exactly. bit of profit taking by the day traders this AM before (hopefully) a reverse this PM. Still expecting this to finish up at the close. We shall see.
2p+ by end of day
RNS possibly imminent with details of the bid/bids. Still hoping we can 3 or 4x from here but let's see.
Just be careful Wyn. Avacta at 260m is overvalued many multiples over. Almost as bad as HE1 ;) Good luck though.
Hopefully those stops work for you. With a stock like Avacta they tend not to as the bad news can be v bad. Hopefully the gamble pays off. Good luck.
Covid stock Avacta - lol !! Be v careful DGU. The Q1 2020 price is probably fair.
A better day here today which is pleasing. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
not sure i agree with this. If they announce initial interest the SP will spike big time and that could put the ultimate deal at risk. think they'll stay silent until a deal is ready to be voted on (unfortunately).
These conversations only started because you challenged me saying they were selling a 25m per annum business for some reason......laughable
Because 24/25m with a reduction in GP margin (higher unit costs) is not good enough and sees cash erode to zero quite quickly. That's why.
What on earth are you talking about? Jan-Apr comps were tougher due to the 2021 lockdowns and then softened from May onwards. They mentioned this in the recent investor presentation and then again we saw evidence of it in the recent RNS as growth improved. It's not about fixating on a couple of weeks of data. You can't explain your logic / how you've got to your numbers because you literally picked them out of nowhere.
At least mine are based on some logic. We were -15% YOY for the first 4 months and then slightly positive in May post lapping the lockdowns. If that continues for the rest of the year we'll be 24/25m. Losses will widen from projections because a) the revenue is lower than the 29m f/c and also component pricing has gone up.
Your 15-19m is based on absolutely nothing from what I can see. They were not profitably at 25m and this will be 20% less than that blah blah blah. What??
Sorry Wyn I think you're literally plucking numbers out of the air.
I repeat. How do you get to £15-19m? Remember you challenged me this morning when I said any potential acquirer was buying a c.£25m p.a business. I think that's a fair statement yet you decided to challenge it and state you think this year will come in at £15-19m. Please explain this. Regarding your other comments - I don't doubt that the business is in trouble and have never said otherwise. With the current business plan they will run out of cash hence why they released the RNS. All I've said is that in the event they don't get said cash they could make changes to the model and scale the operation right back. Clearly this isn't the ambition. But anyway forget this, how do you get to £15-19m? They've quoted -15% YTD and then skinny single digit positive from May onwards as they go past lapping the 2021 lockdowns. My assumptions are that current trends broadly continue getting to c.8-9% down YOY. You are getting them to a worst case -44%. Just interested to know how you get to this?
Specifically I'm interested to hear how you get to £15-19m Wyn? I'm not sure what you're reading but it certainly doesn't sound overly positive here to me.
Wyn - out of interest how do you get to £15-19m? They recently announced YTD revenue was down -15% but had improved to a positive YOY position since May as the comps got easier. Interested to hear why you think revenue could be as bad as -44% across the full year? Your previous post suggests you think money will run to zero by year end - how do you know this is the case? Sorry lastly, if you read the annual report you'll see that they do have an OD facility.
