RE: HZM question.1 Feb 2021 18:43
Hi,
Nice dip in the price to get in on for sure.
HPAL has come on in recent years for sure and due to scarcity of sulphide as you say the future requires HPAL, it cannot survive without it.
There are some ESG negatives about 'certain' HPAL' namely in the Asian area that are powered by fossil fuels (coal) have wet tailings and sea dispersal etc. HZM power will come mainly from hydro, dry tailings and not near the sea. Costs are lower than many other HPAL options due to the significant infrastructure in place.
However for me this always remain s the ned goal of the investment and the icing on the cake, because do not forget that HZM is right now on the verge of being a stianless steel nickel supplier with an extremely valuable project in it's own right with Araguaia. This more than justifies the Mcap with the HPAL (Vermehlo) not really featuring in the price as yet. If it was just VErmehlo then there would be questions over raising that kind of capital as a junior, but by getting Araguaia going the company will be a producer with a realisable asset and raising money int he future or borrowing more comes a LOT easier. Real monetisation in Vermehlo will start once the company as the means to take it forward either by generating it's own income as a producer or earlier with a partner to catch the beginning of the EV super cycle demand for Nickel and have a sort of first mover advantage. The company as stated this is the first plan. There have been 2 EV Nickel tie ups in Indonesia just lately and a M&A in the space, so it is hotting up and car/battery OEMS will be looking to secure long term supplies from the Chinese going forward, especially after Elon's comments. He has forced them to think about their supply to fullfill contracts.
To note Vermehlo could be another stainless supply in it's own right so not a one trick pony. If you see the future as Vermehlo bear in mind that in the tinerim Araguaia is going to raise the SP and Mcap significantly in the meantime. The clock is ticking on the financing.......
