Given the importance of Power China, in China, in overseas projects, belt and road initiative, creating ties with Bangladesh, you'd like to think that Chinese talks would cover such an investment. The Chinese want to get work and influence, they surely must say money is on the table for your own resources IT MAKES SENSE, China largest creation of solar arrays but they still build coal plants alongside, they simply cannot expand and keep prices down just going solar, they ought to be telling the old farrt this is just how it is, you can have your pet net zero projects but reality is you don't have the FX for imports, the coal imports are rubbish and you can't run the country with what power you do have.

You implied all A trades shown on LSE were algo trades....... I provided a situation where this was not true.....BUT also suggested that in these situations algos could make the trades, I did not say they couldn't be algos.

Simply put I can buy ALL or BP shares (just examples of SETS traded shares one low volume with more MM intervention and one high volume) without asking for a quote by buying directly at market price and it will show as an A trade.....FACT (you wouldn't quote for peanuts on BP anyway you buy at market unless you can put large orders in that need filled)

An algo could buy these shares too....FACT

I agree with you 99 over describing an 'algo' example.

If I buy some BP shares by personally clicking my mouse on the screen, it is not an algo trade. Unless you describe my computer talking to the trading platform for matching my 'order' that I made with my human hand with the people offering the shares as an algo, an algo trade would be using a program to buy shares at X price after some sort of list of variables you have put in place are met.

They both will show as A.

LSE designate two types of trade (other than the UT - electronic Uncrossing Trade via Auction) O and A.

They designate O as Ordinary and A as Automatic Execution (not 'Algo' trade.....how would LSE know if something was an algo)

SETSqx which is what EML is, will only ever have Oridinary trades because it is market maker only for price. Though not to say an algo can't execute an ordinary trade. The bundle of little trades is normally seen when the BID/ASK change, not sure what sets them off but they are often small.

You can either buy at bid/ask or quote for a price and accept.

Now SETS trades are electronic orders where the market is made up of the market as a whole, anyone with DMA access can trade as if they were a market maker. The bid/ask are normally fronted by those with market access to trade and the MMs a little off from the front, however MMs are still available for quote and often inside the spread still.

If you get a quote and execute the trade it will show as O.

If you just buy from the front of the bid/ask (marker order - could be for a size bigger then the MMs will quote for) it will show as A. If the order is greater then the front of the bid/ask it will strip all the shares from every price beyond the front until the order is filled. So a 10,000 buy share order would take out say the front of the ask with 5,000, next line with 2,500 and 2,500 from the 4,000 sitting behind that. The price paid are those 3 separate trades added together. On the share trades you will see 3 buys adding up to 10,000, not 10,000.

As Atlantic Lithium has low volume MMs tend to still be responsible for much of the 'at quote' trades so mostly O trades but BP being huge volume you' probably see mostly A trades as nearly ever transaction will be at market price (doubt there is much room for a quote inside the spread anyway). Algos would definitely trading likes of this as buying and selling can be automated easier for this.

So say advertised sell is 1.80 and buy is 1.90

Mid price is 1.85

ANY 'transaction' that has a dealt price below 1.85 is declared a sell by 'reporting' websites and vice versa above 1.85 all will be reported as a buy.

If you see 1.81s and 1.84s as sells you can assume the 1.81s are sells and the 1.84s are buys.

The stock exchange does not delcare buy or sell but just declares transaction shares, price and time, it is the reporting website that gives it a tag of buy or sell based on where it falls concerning mid price. Very basic.

To note EVERY transaction is actually a buy and a sell.....just depends which side of the transaction you are on.

I also assume the buying is people that foresee a small outlay now could mean big gains when the projects get a better platform for investment!....Bit of a gamble to know and see it go private, but they must see the longer term advantage over whithering away on AIM with no liquidity.

Whilst the company has access to £700k odd in funds they will run dry staying on AIM. Going private is not the end, but a new beginning. No point booking a Cap loss if nothing to offset it against. For whatever value I have left I'll see where the future lies.

The way I see it is the 2 projects could be split. The Graphite held in stasis until the market moves in that space with at least BKT getting fully funded. The Silver based on the current Silver price movement and the projection for even higher prices could see it interesting enough to better investors on most likely the ASX. How this is done whether a new IPO with money raised to list and money to progress the silver or a partnership of sorts. The Silver has known reserves that are ready to mine and other zones identified so could create cashflow instantly when ready.....big question, is there a big pile waiting in the wings that some drilling could identify. In future no reason the graphite couldn't attract offers of $25m if demand curve goes the right way.
