Thing is even if Vermelho is considered too much like hard work to produce Sulphate and other projects are more attractive, this is also capable of ferronickel, so given the huge demand for sulphate and the product it will take away from Stainless demand leaves a hole in the ferronickel supply too that could be filled by Vermelho and the prices will be good anyway. It is not a one track pony. I guarantee there is a DFS for ferronickel in the Vale library we bought.
However high prices and not enough sulphate from sulphide 'will' require HPALs. Low cost even better....

It really should not show red because it should be based on mid price only. IG have a habit of doing this oddity. MMs have been moving spread around to try and signal movements. Bid real offerings have been mainly in the 5.4s all day and odd drop to 5.3s and 4 MMs above 5.3 at all times yet they dropped L2 to 5.2p

JM has definitely said he is looking a partner. We cannot deliver Araguaia and Vermelho side by side. We will be using cash from Araguaia first 2 years to pump into the second line, we won't be given another $625m to start Vermelho before we have boosted the coffers with Araguaia. If we waited to do it organically it would be the end of the 2020s to get it into production and we will have missed the early boat. We need Vermelho in production 2025 to hit the S curve at the right time in Nickel use in EVs. I will take half of value of Vermelho in 2023 than 100% of its value in 2027. Bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. We also have no expertise in HPAL, better to step aside a touch and let those in the know do their thing. This is good management in a way, know your limits!

MKA has been waiting for liftoff for a longtime....rare earths outside of China is big talk, just not turned into reality yet. Given we are supposedly so short elsewhere it would be on fire, but markets don't make sense.

No major would embarass themselves offering peanuts for HZM. It would be futile and waste of people's time. WE are not distressed, we have money, we have a high chance of a bull market in our commodity, we ahev every licence etc over the finish line, we have banks gives us more in debt than we first anticapated etc etc. We don't need to sell at any price, but if a price comes along it has to be worth giving up the future for a fast return now, but one that reflects the future return....added to that there would be competition in the market for our resource, anything lowish would easily be out bid by another.

until after battery day on the 22nd....could be explosive to market. Was 15th chosen before because that was the orignal date set (after first delay)?

I'm hesitant on ACP because Nickel and Lithium are paramount at the minute in batteries going foward but not graphite, a lot of work going into other replacements. It could be short lived. It has very good economics for sure though.

It should read ..... enough 'clean' Nickel. There is cleanish Nickel. Then the way he wrote won't get enough from juniors, it kinda looked like OEMs wouldn't even go to juniors at all, even though he menat they won't be able to supply enough green nickel on their own majors will still have to fill shortfall. Bad wording at times.

5-5.4p still had a fair few buyers a year ago, they may need dropping off.

Context Sconi £165m, Sunrise £365m both projects poorer and smaller than Vermelho resource.... And we have Araguaia too.

Minor technical point, but if this is a breakout it will be hard to stop, anything back at 5.2p will be gobbled up if it does get dragged back.

There are others on here do it for sure...secretly and some that want to deramp the share the minute they are out. Try looking at this way, top slicing is a good idea if you want to take money out and you are happy to take that off the table regardless of price, but if it was to go down you can always put the profit back in as a trade.

Genuinely Cacher that is one of the strongest pieces of evidence of late I have read that says there is going to be a bun fight soon if EVs and battery metal strategic tying down supply increases. Gov level offtaking is potentially massive for the sector. Thank you for dropping that on the board. They may never come near us but as long as the masses see it as a possibility it can help sentiment for such a project.
Vermelho might be HPAL but from what I have read there is no escaping HPAL if EVs are to be supplied, there is no choice the process must be used, sulphide deposits are rare as hen's teeth. The project low cost will be a focus for going HPAL, vs a $20k breakeven project. The clock is ticking on whom is circling for a slice of the EV Nickel market! If you went out now to search for a low cost Nickel deposit to bring on line from scratch....2030 would be long and gone.
