They have found a buying area now and can afford to sponsor the BID to let out the desperate in an orderly fashion. By taking it down slowly without letting them out, those traders that bought in a 6p now left not being able to walk away with a profit and come back in on the bounce. So either sell at the bottom of the drop or watch the price go back up as longer term holders welcome the news and it's implications.
