Not drivel at all. There are quite a few Indonesian Sulphate only projects being built now and around world a few dormant mines converting to sulphate that will take up plenty of slack, however hopefully the CAGR of NI Suplhate demand will still outweigh the new supply.

I think the car OEM connections are a red herring, I think it is at refinery level, because te whole idea is that alllll of EU gets a piece of the battery market. Not sure it would look right letting one party get all the pie as there are so many involved in each project. I see it more as a CO-OP than first come first served. I think the funding will be a EU level and not at company level......but Europe might only be interested in that there is a battery market but cares not whom is paying for it. Makes me then think what if EU pays for us but it is an Asian battery company swallowing the offtake.....company is in EU but it is not helping the EU develop it's own income from the batteries.

But this might require some churning to go blue sky or manadate news to break out. Dips will be short lived on Nickel strength hence chance of missing out on breakout for a few 10ths of a penny. Even a steady day is churning out the leavers, once they have gone they can't sell further up....

It is impacting the price of companies with Nickel sulphate production currently or potential perhaps more so the sulphide ones but not the actual price of Nickel right now. That is too speculative too soon and not enough of an impact yet on the spot market.

Orion have stated in an interview they have their eye on Nickel and supplying EVs with it..... Vermehlo got to be in their sights, they have not partnered with any other EV related Nickel projects have they?

Well I beg to differ, but thanks for your opinion. Maybe I should have put the word 'some' in there, that would have helped pedantics. I refer to most of what I read is all EV news because stainless is so boring to promote HZM, but we have a nice boring stainless related mine waiting to be financed that will sell boring stainless products..... and make lots of money....albeit EV narative and price pressure will help that industry in time....BUT right now stainless restocking and importing in China is the news driver in Nickel price. EVs will not impact demand big in the 'near' term as there is plenty of Class 1 for now and some big plants coming on line it is such a small amount at the moment. Stocks on LME have risen a whole 14k tonnes since May....so hardly going through the roof.
The financing is for the stainless market and one should be thinking a lot further ahead than just news.

Why do you assume it would be my question so I understand why you came to that conclusion. I think the ECAs might actually come into the mandate though (as mandate is 'upto' $325m, so could be less), but as for the Brazil Bank it said 'for a financing facility' not mentioned with or in relation to the Mandate and 'a' is singular.

Don't forget we have $74m in contingency alone! If you don't use that all then that is money towards Verm development or straight to stage 2 costs......assuming the don't over spend at all.

Essentially they have done due diligence already, some basics of the deal set out already to form the basis of a firm contract once everything else is in place. I would think the cornerstone gets some preferential treatment for putting their hand up early but equally will have to pay a competitive price for that right I would hope (as there must be more than a few interested). It gives you some pre security that most of the equity will be covered but not sure just how much there is and debt providers also see you have preparations and equity partner on board.

Not sure we will need to fund all stage 2 from cash..... if things tighten up all stage 2 offtake could be booked and paid for up front a little. Never mind extra financing that might come easy.

Nickel has only finished higher 9 days in 5 years all on the spike last year

I'd be very surprised not to see some sort of news on development of finance between now and end of March...... and always the partnering in Vermehlo could drop. 6p it will not see again. I would ssuspect it would be wider markets sell off that would force us to 6p only. Nickel breaks $18k then evern more supportive of staying higher.
I really think people put too much emphasis on EVs and what is driving price action in HZM. For me it is all stainless currently and should be investible on that in its own right, however if the EV monster of Vermehlo kicks off then who knows price short term. I do know there is a lot of FUD surrounding sulhide versus HPAL and everyone jumping at sulphide is groomed to think that sulphide is the only choice and the only clean Class 1 Nickel there is......even after I pointed out one company that would use diesel gens for power and transport product 250km on diesel trucks....lost on them. HAd a AVZ lithium punter saying they had the cleanest possible spodumene, that incidently had to be transported to the coast from the middle of the congo......sure the green credentials are awesome on that as supposed to digging it up in Europe. Then not appreciating that over half the cost to market was the transport, what if the coast of transport doubled and you have no control over that. Staggering the blinkers and little they know or understand about their shares.

EV sales for December continuing to fly, lithium chemical reservesare getting eaten into, dmeand for raw materials will start to have to restock the supplies and prices will respond. This is like the 2nd wave of Covid, bigger than the first. Not just China driven this time but EU driven too.
