I'm sure metro bank, did job cuts similar to Capita. Still made a loss for the half year. But the forward looking statement was enough to make it jump 20%. I do feel the results are likely to be far better than first half of last year..I means if it was bad then all the changes since last year would have count for nothing. Imho

And Rachel reeves speech late in the day, there could be a follow through tomorrow nd into Wednesday. Had to bank the gains. So can sleep better at night 🌙 imho

I do think, the results will probably be accompanied with job cuts accouncment as its quick way to make a savings, increase margins, with more integration of AI gen is identified. Business was said to be complex, once layers of complexity is removed, savings is likely to be realised imho. That's my view point. Over to you guys

What Paul Scott said about margins. Little does he know, from £160m savings, £90m of savings is to my understanding has been actioned from capital markets events leaving £70 m of cuts left from june 2024 till mid 2025. Imho

Cybe cost of around £20 million and furlough cost was around £5m. So its almost quaranteed, HY24 will be atleast £25m better off.

Without factoring in:

- further saving of £30m ( £90m ish saving, 60 from job cuts and £30m ish we didn't know about when mentioned in capital markets events)

- business exits ( 1 exit)

- 900 job cuts (annual saving of £60m )

- bonus cuts

- wage freeze

- ferra payment coming in

Plus further cash injection of around £200m at the end of August
